I recently had my 2025 R1T Tri serviced at the Duncan SC for a creaking noise coming from between the bed and cab. They said it was the pinch welds between the bed and cab making the noise. Their certified body shop did the repairs. They now say the “joints are sealed” and within spec.

What does it mean to seal a joint? This seems like a structural part of the truck. I‘m hoping they reinforced the welds. But “sealed” sounds like they may have added an epoxy/sealant to muffle the sound rather than fixing the welds. I’m not sure about the structure between the bed and cab, and maybe sealing is appropriate. Or maybe sealing is a welding term I’m unfamiliar with. Does anyone have any feedback on if this is the appropriate fix?

I believe I have the same issue on my Tri motor. Can you upload a video so I can hear the sound.

I thought the sound was coming from behind the rear seats. It’s like a sharpe creaking sound It happens when I perform a sharp turn or any side to side movement.

This is a short video of the sound. They said the sound was from the pinch welds, but not bc the welds were failing in any way. I did pick it up yesterday. They added an OEM metal sealant to the top of the welds to separate the metals that were creaking, and it fixed the problem. They assured me there is not structural issue.

That’s the exact sound my vehicle makes. Thank you for the video.
