  1. Electrify America disaster

Did you charge for almost 2 hours? If the charger never got above 21kw, you would have had to charge for nearly 2 hours in order to get 34kwh.
  2. Illinois New Rivian Yakima Bike Mounts - 2 price dropped

Iā€™d pay $400 for both, if youā€™d considering covering shipping to NC.
  3. Charger Handle Locking

On a trip to Florida, we were charging at an Electrify America charger in Gainesville. The vehicle had 10% and I needed 80-90%, so we went to get something to eat. While watching the app I saw that the truck stopped charging at 70%, then it said unplugged. Some jerk in a Volvo pushed stop on the...
  4. If your AC is weak, make them check for a leak

I had the exact same issue. The Atlanta SC found this right away. They didnā€™t attempt the band-aid fix of only recharging it.
  5. Truck not charging when plugged in

I had a similar experience once and power cycling the rivian wall charger fixed it. I just turn the breaker off for 30-60 seconds, then back on. The chargerā€™s induction light at the top should be slowly blinking white if itā€™s ready to charge.
  6. HVAC after most recent update

I have tried forcing it (Hi/Lo). I have tried a soft reset and a hard reset. Nothing seems to make a difference. I have filed a ticket. But Iā€™ll give them a call again today now that I have more info. Maybe the defrost/defogger issue will convince them the issue is important.
  7. HVAC after most recent update

Iā€™m having HVAC issues, seemingly after the most recent update. I have had the truck since March 2022 and have had no issues. But recently the heat is only lukewarm and worse the A/C is also lukewarm. I have tried recirculate, rear climate off and on, initiating from defrost, initiating from the...
  8. PlugShare?

That depends. A few things that the truck could be picking up on that ABRP may not be: -current state of charge (Iā€™d suggest charging to 100% before leaving) -drive mode (change to conserve mode) -possibly picking up on some real-time traffic that ABRP doesnā€™t know about
  9. PlugShare?

Thatā€™s battery pack size. You have 135 alpha (large battery pack = 135kwh). All delivered r1tā€™s are currently 135kwh.
  10. PlugShare?

Donā€™t let it overwhelm you. You can also just hop in the truck and put the destination in the truckā€™s map, and itā€™ll do it all for you. If youā€™re in a hurry on the drive, 5 minutes of planning the night before might save you some charging time (but probably not a huge difference).
  11. PlugShare?

All of this is good advice. With a little planning, your trip with be painless. Iā€™ve found it works best to plan on ABRP then double check those charging stops on PlugShare. Reading recent reviews about the chargers that ABRP suggested on PlugShare will let you know if those are good charging...
  12. How is the R1T handling in the corners?

I have similar feedback. Our other vehicle is a 2016 Tesla MS 90D on spring suspension. We live in the mountains with lots of windy roads. I feel like even in all-purpose mode our R1T corners better than the MS, as long as the suspension is set to stiff. My daughter gets noticeably less car sick...
  13. Photos of RAN Chargers construction in NC

Thereā€™s no Target in Blowing Rock. They were speaking of the Tanger Outlets (ā€œShoppes On The Parkwayā€). I have heard from a couple reliable people that they will be building a RAN DCFC at Shoppes On The Parkway.
  14. North Carolina R1T Registration

Iā€™ll check when I get my refund. I will compare my refund to the amount I was charged on the buyers agreement.
  15. North Carolina R1T Registration

They gave me a standard weighted plate and charged me for a weighted plate. Then they mailed me a BRP plate that is registered as weighted.
  16. North Carolina R1T Registration

Iā€™m really not sure. I paid $2,957.16 for everything including a Blue Ridge Parkway tag ($30), plus $5 extra for a notary fee. I will say that the ladies working there said the taxes Rivian collected were off by a bit. Also I have not yet received the refund for the taxes I paid Rivian.
  17. North Carolina R1T Registration

Iā€™m in Boone and found that self-registering was MUCH easier and faster than letting Rivian register. Not sure itā€™s all Rivianā€™s fault, as one of the ladies in the local tag office said the NC state office will receive mail that wonā€™t get opened for months. I brought the documents Rivian sent...
