The camera/processor camera in the mobile eye system on gen 1 isn't good enough to provide the great stability that it does with what it sees alone. It uses the map data as a crutch (knowing when curves are coming up, etc). Thus the mapping limitationThanks for the analysis. Silly question. What limits the available roads we can use ADAS on? Rivian mapping of them or vehicle generation and the hardware/software? Surprised by the limited # of roads I can use my Gen1 Highway Assist on.
Especially notable because there ARE mobile eye systems that can do that, but none of them are as good as the ML models Tesla (and soon Rivian) can do
