FYI. For gen 1, not sure about gen 2 vehicles. If you want to tap into the spare post/bolt on your battery, Littlefuse has bolt on fuses that are exactly like the factory fuses. Did not find this posted anywhere. It snaps into the factory clips perfectly and is used on a M8 bolt. They have other sizes(bolt size) and several amperage ratings.

Thank you much for sharing. Good to know. I've never explored this area, but these look a lot like a Marine Rated Battery Fuse (MRBF), yet these are called a single Mega. They look like they have a slightly different form factor, but I bet a MRBF would work as well with similar electrical specs But great to know these are available and plug and play to fit into the available connection spots..

40 amp is the lowest they make. That wire has a 5 amp fuse on it also.
