I got “invited” to this today. Looks like it’s now offered in GA, ME, MN, NY, SC, & TX.

For the vehicle service contract, the pricing I see is:

3 years $4600
4 years $7100
5 years $10,300

How i read that

• In most states: The provider is United Service Protection Corporation.
• In Texas: Same company, but they list their Texas license number (#106).
• In California: Same company, with California license number (#0D01816).
• In Florida: The provider is United Service Protection, Inc., with Florida license #60016.
• In Oklahoma: The provider is Assurant Service Protection, Inc., with Oklahoma license #44199246.

I'd be interested in the cost... The battery and powertrain warranty from the factory is pretty good, especially if you don't do high milage.

I‘ve still got about 10K miles until my main warranty is up. So I’m hoping they’ll soon make this available to Colorado.

My R1T may end up being the longest I’ve ever kept a vehicle. I’m hoping to keep it until the Scout Terra is available.

I honestly only want it for suspension and this stupid ass tailgate latch that's become a 90 day consumable part. Gen 1 large/quad got a killer 8 year/175k miles on battery and drivetrain.

Helps cover the cost to repair or replace the high- voltage battery, drivetrain, mechanical components, safety systems and more after a covered breakdown once your Rivian’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty ends.²

I would interpret the part I bolded as saying anything that doesn't cause a "breakdown" is not going to be covered. A faulty tailgate latch is definitely not within my definition of breakdown and I would expect the insurance company to be right on the edge of unreasonably strict. The suspension might not be covered either unless it is so bad it forces the vehicle into turtle mode.
