Yeah, I have. It's not only Shell, but all gasoline companies, Esso, BP, Shell, etc.
I personally believe that EV charging will become mainstream, when the gasoline companies realize they can grab a piece of this pie and start putting charging stations.

I think over the next 24-36 months we will see major buildouts of the EV charging networks, Provincially and Federally.

The major area that is lacking is the ONroute rest areas along the "400's". Issue seems to be lack of power available

Actually, I am kind of glad they are not building it along the ONroutes. With how busy those stations get, I would expect most of those charging stops to be ICE'd, or taken over as parking and it will never be enforced. Most of the Petro-Canada stations are just off the 401 so it would not be too crowded either.

Can anyone find details about charging speeds? The Petro Canada and Electrify Canada networks both have 350kW capable stations, which are amazing for road trips. Hopefully Shell follows suit. The BC Hydro stations that are the more common ones here in BC are all limited to 50kW, so in inefficient vehicles like the R1T/R1S aren't nearly as useful (except if you are staying somewhere for a dinner or extended shop).

The ones in Europe are mostly 150KW, with some upgraded to 250KW I think, or maybe 350KW.
Have to re-watch some of Bjorn and Kris Rifa videos to check. But I would expect a minimum 150KW.

The problem would be power through some of the remote corridors. The IVY charging network in Northern Ontario are all 50KW, even though it is developed with OPG collaboration.

FWIW driving back to Winnipeg from Calgary a few weeks ago, I observed chargers at many co-op gas stations. They’re coming on fast too.
