Yeah it looks like the key figures are:

0 to 60 miles at 3.5 seconds, with all season tires (I’m guessing the 3.0 seconds is with sport tires)

The weight is 7150 pounds

And the range they got was 317 miles

Super exciting, Rivian is really knocking it out of the park
Yes, Finally some performance numbers! So subtract ~341 lbs for the off road package ~6,809 lbs for Large Pack.

It looks like it had the off-road upgrade. Which has been a question on the effect on range. So does this answer that question even though it had the 21’s?
So maybe no effect on range, but it will lower your payload.

So the R1T will spank the MachE GT and send it to bed without supper. Ditto for the I-Pace and any non-P series Tesla.

It wasn't too long ago that running 11.9 in the quarter required a welded in rollbar and a fire jacket.

Porche 911 numbers from a pickup truck. Sub 12 second quarter mile and .87 on the skidpad.

Hell yes.

I wouldn't expect his for at least few more days. He just dropped a Ford Maverick video today. I think someone posted recently he tweeted whatever car picture, and his YouTube video came out 2-3 weeks later.

Okay, so it seems the off road upgrade didn't make a difference on the range.

Great review actually. Seems they love the truck. Only complaints were the wind noise in the cabin. They said it was a prototype. I'm hoping rivian has fixed that, because I've heard that complaint for tesla and it would be nice if rivian to overcome that. UI was buggy it seemed, and at one point the suspension was overheated so he couldn't raise the truck.

Nice to see the range wasn't hurt by the offroad package.

I get it, but I'm so tired hearing of "it's a prototype", "non production", etc.

To be honest, i am slightly disappointed with this review. The 1st ”independent review” and Edmond does not provide charging information, come on!
Edmunds had very limited time so I think they fitted a lot in. Of course their is more than will come but this gave us some real numbers and backed up Rivian claims.

Rivian’s Simple Brake Launch vs Hummer WTF: Remember some of the journalists who were spouting the Hummer EV was so much more forceful and faster off the line than the R1T? Looks like they are about the same. The difference Edmonds displayed this in a simple, quick fashion with the R1T vs the Hummer has to enter WTF, sit a few minutes to prep, then with a bunch of weird noise like an arcade game and $40k more, matches the R1T. No thank you, GM

The one concern I have after watching that review is the issue he had with wind noise. Have any other reviewers mentioned that? I hope it was just perhaps a door/window seal issue with their truck and not a general problem. One of the benefits of an EV is the silence and excessive wind noise would really detract from that not to mention that it would be a sign of a less than optimized design with regard to aerodynamics.
