I’m by no means a drag racer! Mine is a ‘22 R1T Quad Adventure with 31k miles on the original (worn!) 21” tires. I was at 74% state of charge and was in Sport mode, with Stabilty off.

Not bad for a truck (and the frunk and gear tunnel were full with about 300 lbs of computer gear - I’m an IT consultant and this is my everyday work vehicle). I’m car #312 ?

My thoughts, exactly!
.031 - noice!
Most non-drag racers would be in the .400+ range r/t. I assume it was a sportsman tree. Deep stage all the way through the first beam? Regardless, that's a great run! What's the elevation at Cecil Co. Raceway? I've run mine at Top Gun in Fallon, NV which is pretty high so there's less air to move out of the way so it ran 11.6 even though I haven't remembered to reduce the stability control even after switching to sport mode.

Great! Darn speed limited tires means us Gen 1 people will always have the speed limiter......the new Tri-Motor runs a 130mph trap speed because it has speed rated tires....

Good run. It is a shame about the speed limiter but I get it. Most trucks aren’t that stable at high speeds. How often will it really matter. Are they using a GPS to limit the top speed or basing it on the tire size and revolutions?

Would be interesting to see to see how quickly the QM could go in the quarter if not restricted. In daily driving I find it plenty quick. The 0-60 is pretty solid.

Honestly the limiter does bug me a bit and wonder if there is a workaround with appropriate tires.

I thought this too but it's the quad motors maxing out rpm at 116mph not the tires.

I've been over this with the head of software at rivian it is a mandate from the legal department. The tires are not speed rated sufficiently to allow the top end to be greater than it is at around 114 to 115 mph. The truck will do 121 to 122 with a quad motor un-corked according to pre production testing.

Hence the Pilot Sport S5 option for gen2 quad and higher limit.

Has anyone tested a tri motor at the strip yet., or for that matter the top speed of the tri motor when not in launch mode?

Note tire options for Tri. Same [legal dept] top speed limitations as gen 1, I would think.

Thanks, good info for reference. It is also why I added the qualifier for appropriate tires. It could be a mid 11's car if unlimited. Based on OP's data, it is unlikely it would trap at 120+, more like 115-116 which is pretty solid regardless.
