only 4% deg at c.54k miles. I'd take that any day. Not bad at all IMO.

Sadly, or actually it’s happily, I won’t be able to repeat at 66k. I’m trading in this Gen 1 R1T for a Gen 2 R1T max pack in a few days.
Why? My Gen 1 has been awesome. It was inevitable I would replace it with another someday. With the recent trade in offer I figured this was as good a time as any.

And, the new one will give me a great opportunity to test the efficiency of the Gen 2 dual motor with the Rivian motors vs the really early Gen 1 Quad with Bosch motors.
But that’s, like, 2 less motors.

Yes, 2 motors instead of 4. But, I have never wished for more horsepower but I have wished for more range.

Driving around Minnesota, Wisconsin, Canada, -20F, sparse DC charging options...... More range is high on my list of wants. A small LFP battery is a not an option for my use case.

Tesla added like 2600 chargers in Q3. The gaps are filling in.

seems like the part of the continent I call home is missing out on that big Tesla expsnsion?

map show superchargers that are under construction, permitted, planned. Once again the upper Midwest gets left out.

Isn't the nominal capacity of the Large battery "only" 135kWh, with an effective capacity of 131 kWh? Did you mean the Max?

Ballpark, yes. That's what ABRP thinks I have though.

Awesome post Budman, congrats on the Gen 2.

Btw, I just looked it up and the large pack has to total cap of 141 kWh, however only 131 kWh is useable.

On my 2023 R1S Quad Large Pack 21” wheels w/ 20,497 mi, ARBP slows that I have 130.1 kWh capacity.
