Hi:

Is there any specific guidance regarding where in the R1S is ideal to store portable charger, charging adapters? I remember people in the forum stating the high temperatures of the frunk and sub-frunk.

Thanks in advance

My suggestion would be under the rear cargo floor or in the cargo area for both.

The adapter could also be stored in camp speaker drawer or the door pockets.

I have both the A2Z Typhoon Pro Tesla Supercharger adapter and A2Z Stellar AC Tesla Destination adapter stored under the rear cargo tray in the storage cubby that goes above the spare tire well.

I want to make sure the adapters are as cool as possible before I use them in the 95+ degree temps.

No issues for me with keeping them in the frunk. Even on 100° days the portable charger still provided a full speed charge every time.

I keep my adapter in my rear door pocket. Easy to get to. Easier to get at if needed without needing to open electronic doors in a unfamiliar area.

I keep the small Rivian charger in the frunk. I lived on it almost exclusively while I waited for my L2 to be installed. Have not used it since. Since it use will likely be low, or never..

My frunk acts as my kitchen (water source, pantry, and fridge) on road trips, so I've moved my travel charger bag with L2 and DCFC adapters added to the gear tunnel. I have the split EV Sportline slides. One half has towels and moving blankets, the charger bag sits on top and never felt warm in there.

I had not thought about the rear seats. I have been using the sub-frunk. I think that the rear seats is a much better idea. Thanks

sometimes I struggle with describing things ?. Rear cargo under the floor ...in the tray if you have it...otherwise underneath. The door side pockets work really well and make for quick access. They can also fit in the center console too.

In the mesh front pocket of the frunk. The only think I’ve kept there in nearly two years is front license plate ?
