Opal (our R1T) now has almost 8,000 miles on her. She has the 21" road wheels and tires. Opal's tires still look really good, so I have some time. I am hopeful that Michelin will introduce the 21's as I really like the look of the 21" wheels, sans the aerocovers.

If that doesn't happen, I will most likely go with a new set of 20" wheels as there are so many tire choices in this size.

FWIW, I spoke with local Kal Tire and asked about the 21" Defenders. They checked with Michelin for me and got the same answer as others have noted: September release is confirmed.
Based on Gen 2 dropping the 21" wheel, I will be placing a pre-order in case this will be a limited release from the manufacturer.

Cool thanks for the update, Im assuming KalTire is a Canadian outfit. Im not sure if I'm able to preorder, TireRack just says its unavailable.

Pirelli should lower their shitty tires price to less than michelin

Talked with Tire Rack. My tires are anticipated to arrive at Tire Rack in South Bend, Indiana TOMORROW and anticipates Discount Tire could install them in the Indianapolis area on Friday if I were ready. They told me they have 70 ish tires sold with 500 in the first batch.

Look like they are coming out with Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 275/55-21 that will come in end of July.

Saves me from having to go aftermarket wheels and tires.

Summit is not showing this as 3 Peaks rated. I hope that is wrong.
