Hello everyone,
Just a quick post and observation.
I have been on a road trip from my home in south central Illinois to visit my parents and family in Daphne, Alabama. The NACS adapter sent by Rivian is really a game changer when it comes to road trips. It opens up so many options for charging. It really takes any anxiety away from road trips. Now I can pick where I stop, look at price per kw, and amenities nearby. If I don’t wanna charge at a questionable EA station at a Walmart…I don’t have to
Thanks Rivian for the adapter
A quick shot out to the state of Alabama. We are not talking about an EV Nirvana down here….but there are now 4 superchargers (3 CCS and 1 NACS) chargers within 10 miles of my parents house in Daphne. Ive been driving here for 2 years now with my R1T. I would have to drive 30 miles to a supercharger. Now I can drive a few miles and not worry at all about bringing Doc Brown on road trips to see them.
Im also impressed with the number of new chargers being added up and down the interstates in Alabama. ( check out Plugshare)
Nice to see a state, especially one with lower EV adoption, taking the initiative. If you build it, we will show up and spend money at the establishments near them. Keep it up.
