Hello all! 2022 R1T here.

Just as the title states, I'm having the USS (ultrasonic sensors) detect things all along the left side when turning left. The dash shows all red, audible alerts go crazy, and nothing is there. This doesn't happen on the right side at all. I did have running boards put on two weeks ago but this didn't cause alerts at all at the time. This just started a few days ago. Almost seems like it did after going through a car wash. Right turns are all good. No issues at all. Hard and soft resets are no help. I also wiped sensors with alcohol wipes. Nothing again. YIKES!

Anyone have experienced this?

Possibly a wiring harness got wet or water got into the sensor. Have you tried a walk away/sleep reset?

To perform a sleep reset on a Rivian, you can try these steps:
  1. Unplug the Rivian from its charger
  2. Ensure nothing is plugged into any USB ports
  3. Turn off the inverter
  4. Unbuckle all seatbelts
  5. Ensure no one is in the vehicle
  6. Lock the vehicle and walk away for at least 30 minutes

Take some alcohol wipes to the left side sensors. My right front was bad for a while till I discovered a nasty dry bug that wouldn't come off till I wiped it real good.

Sadly, didn’t help. Left the vehicle is sleep state for a good 45 min. Dang, this stinks

This started happening to me around the last update. I’m compiling a list of things for my next service visit and have included this.

At least the vehicle is still drivable, not end of the world. Sensor faults can happen to any make/model, just a matter of probabilities. Submit ticket and put your warranty to work.

Maybe that’s the issue. Thanks for noting the experience as well.

I stated the same just a few minutes ago when adding the ticket. At least it’s drivable! Totally agree.

Does "Turn off the inverter" mean "Turn off any AC outlets", @Electrified Outdoors? Thanks!

2022 as well. Does funny things sometimes. Will slow down for a corner in adaptive cruise control, but not the next corner. Will decide it needs to stop when nothing is in front of it. Have not had your issue yet.

I started seeing this problem a couple months ago with my 2023 R1T. It is only on the left side. I figured I would have them check it out the next time I am in but have not had to have any service. It is pretty annoying to have it constantly beep at low speed left turns. Curious what you find out if you go in before I get a chance to.
