That seems to be the case in my neck of the woods as well. As I was buying bagels this morning, with my nearly new R1T parked directly out front, the lady behind the counter asked if I like my Rivian. Lots of folks have stopped me to ask about the R1T in the month I've had it, but she was the first person to actually recognize the brand. The first question most folks ask is "what kind of car is that?" When told it's a Rivian, the next question is almost invariably "who makes it?"

The bagel lady asked several pretty practical question about the car, while some other customers looked out the window at it. Her questions (how many miles can you drive it, is it easy to recharge, how long does the battery last, etc) made it pretty clear to the listening audience that it was an electric vehicle. One of the customers remarked that he approved of EV's but would never buy one like mine because he disagreed strongly with Elon. The bagel lady promptly corrected that, telling him it was a Rivian, and the response was that he never heard of the company, and just assumed it was new Tesla model.

Definately a lot of room for increased brand awareness.

I’m in discussions to install solar, and maybe get a home battery system. My roof needs to be replaced, so it makes sense to do it now.

Rivian will announce V2G the within a week after I’m locked into my solar system design. I guarantee it.
