This looks like a new interior color to me. It's too blue to be black mountain.
100%. That maple wood is straight out of a 2006 Range Rover kit that someone bought on eBay.That maple wood is horrible.
The new trend is modern fabrics this looks like it was designed by my grandmother.
I would say it's a further refinement of the first gen. We know so far the Enduro motors have better thermal performance than the bosch counterparts, so I'd expect similar gains on the Ascent power train which means more sustained high output.I don't see much value loss, EVs have already been taking that hit. Why I was able to buy an R1S quad fully optioned under $80k with 200 miles on it.
Would .5 seconds quicker be nice, other interior colors sweet, sure. However nothing listed in article that is a gamechanger from current R1's.
That's exactly why I have not used my voucher for an R1S loan...I'm waiting for leasing options in Québec.Lastly, we can all thank this announcement for a resell value hit today.![]()
Correction, existing owners *hoped* the refresh wouldn't be anything meaningful.Yeah all of the comments about how they didn’t think the refresh would be anything meaningful…
the black mountain with light wood looks way cooler than I would have expected.
You'll be waiting a LONG time (after your coupon expires I would guess). That's exactly why I have not used my voucher for an R1S loan...I'm waiting for leasing options in Québec.
This sums up how I feel, I want it, but probably will hold on to what I have and get the R3XI would say it's a further refinement of the first gen. The changes are substantial enough that you'd be hard pressed not to consider it an upgrade. It honestly has me considering a "switcheroo", but I'd have a bitch of a time getting my wife on board with that. I kinda want to save my time in the dog house for the R3X
Yeah, it’s clearly dark blue..can’t speak for those that are colorblind…This looks like a new interior color to me. It's too blue to be black mountain.
I mean whats another few more years of carp payments....
A lot went into it. My Rivian Engineer neighbor told a year more ago that they were breaking half shafts and also lifting the front wheels off the ground in the first round of testing. I'm guessing they dialed things back a lot to the tune of 2.5 second 0-60 times to conserve part's.I wonder how much engineering had to happen for the torque increase on the QM and TM. Things like half shafts, subframes, etc... or if all that was overbuilt enough from the beginning that simply sliding in more powerful motors is all it needed?
