Any Powered Tonneau Cover deliveries from shop after sale?

I just ordered my fourth Rivian - another R1T. This time with the power tonneau (for $500!). Going through the scheduling process, but noticed in the fine print it says it may or may not be delivered with the tonneau cover (and will be scheduled for the fall with one if it is delivered without). I wanted to see if anyone who has a recent delivery has received it.

For anyone That has purchased one from the shop with the PTC - was it delivered with it?

I ordered mine with the new new $500 cover and picked it up on Friday. It did not come with the cover. Service center had no insight and when it would be installed. I spoke to the guide about it and he put a note on the account but didn’t have a time frame for installation either.

I really liked that show. Couldn’t imagine riding a motorcycle that far, but what a great way to immerse yourself in all the places/cultures along the way. All the odd situations around charging created such neat, accidental encounters with the local folks.

So I am new to Rivian but this is bad customer service as it feels duplicitous…like bait and switch.
And it is inconvenient! I have a road trip coming up and will probably use the the cover from EVsportline that cost me $600 and bite the bullet but I am not happy. Customer service can’t help and I have heard nothing. Any suggestions? How can we help Rivian help themselves?

What was the build date of your truck? I was told that certain trucks that were built recently although configured with the tonneau, weren’t actually coming with them installed. I saw an R1T today at the service center that had a build date of 03/26/24 according to a sticker on the windshield and it DID come with it installed.

In perspective, my local SC in Miami had an R1T parked outside with a build date of 03/26/24 and it came with the powered tonneau cover already installed. I heard somewhere that mid march build dates started bringing them already installed for this vehicles that were configured that way.

I’m set up for install in July

Picking up my 2023 R1T later this week and was told that the PTC will not be available in the fall which was included in my order.

Anyone have recs for cheaper, “get me over” covers for the time being who’s gone through something similar? Thanks!
