Rivian Lease Deals are extremely favorable right now

Tried recreating this deal with Lease Hacker, here is what I'm seeing. Can anyone else confirm?

MSRP $92500, Risidual 52%, APR 2%, - $7500 tax credit. The only way to get to the lease payment that Rivian is giving is to have an extra -$10,000 cap cost reduction, which gets you to $926.

Where are u get 52% residual and Mf?

I played with the leasing calculator for several weeks and the best I could ever really do here in NY is a 3 year and 30K mile lease costing me just shy of $30K. It is a bit obnoxious that Rivian doesn't include taxes and fees in the calculator like Tesla does, but I just multiplied the payment by the tax rate as an estimate. The cost is certainly not terrible compared to other luxury vehicles, but it is still $10K a year to rent a vehicle. I'd personally be all over it if I could write it off for a business, or if the residuals were such that I might actually consider buying after the lease. As it stands though, the residuals seem hyper inflated so that you're really just paying rental fees.

I originally lost interest in getting a R1S because I didn't want to own one....I'd much rather lease and be able to turn it back in after 3 years. And I still think that's the best move with these vehicles (or pretty much any EV) since the technology is expected to keep improving. The last thing I'd want to do is buy one and own it outright because I think the resale value after a few years is going to be dismal. Especially if the newer models at the time are improved. And with inflated residuals, well....I definitely wouldn't buy out the lease at the end of the term. So really, it becomes a "how much do I want to pay to rent this vehicle for three years" type of decision without anything else to consider.

I'm seeing this in NJ, you can get an R1S Quad Motor, Large Pack for under $900/month with $0 down.

Exactly what I did. I placed my order and I'm picking it up next Saturday, March 30th. Although the leasing process is not ready for me to complete yet but that's the plan, $0 down and should be about $900 a month since their selling point is $700 with $7000 down. Hope my math is right lol.

That’s a really optimistic residual. I guess that’s how Rivian is getting these numbers.

It’s not optimistic if that’s what’s actually on the terms.
Depending on configuration and mileage it’s in the high 60%.

The QM seems to have better residual than other in configurations. I am guessing this is due to longer warranty than other configurations.

My QM large R1T has a 65% residual with 15k a year.

Also Rivian is subsidizing the money factor on the 2023 models. That’s how they are reducing payments by $70.

Looks like R1T and R1S are getting a $7500 fed credit, and a pretty low interest rate. If you call your guide, they will also throw in free wheels, and free interior and exterior colors if you choose a vehicle from the shop. If you can find a 2023 model, you get about $70/month off your lease as well. If they don't have it in stock in your zip code, you can ask the guide to look outside and they will ship to your service center. There might be a hidden cap cost reduction.

Seems to be only on Quad Motor / Large Packs.

Not in NC either. If I could lease in NC, I'd jump on this offer in a heartbeat. Rivian could move some serious iron if they would open up leasing to more states.

Trying to figure this out as well since I’m taking delivery next week. Still waiting on final lease contract but has anyone had them go back and adjust lease payment then since nothings been signed? My msrp is 94k plus taxes and fees so around 98k. R1s quad motor, large pack, 15k miles a year, 1k down for 3 years. Monthly is $1158. Have guide checking with lease dept on this but should we expect this number to go down then? I can’t for the life of me remember what the calculator was originally excluding taxes and fees but remember somewhere in the 1009-1050 I think.

The trade in estimates are trash. I opted to sell my trade to Carmax instead for +5k

RJ says to keep the world adventurous forever.

Their leasing department and sales department has decided to take that mission to heart. Starting from day 1 of the Rivian Relationship.

Your best bet is to run KBB, NADA and Black Book values to get an idea. Even then get the average of the 3 lowest bids.

Where are you picking up? I am in South Jersey and hoping deliveries will be available at Trenton some day. I simply don't have the energy for NYC.
