I imagine it's speculation building on the latest email from RJ:

Ah good call I did read that but got lost in everything else haha, that being said I guess it really is around the corner I am hoping.

He said September is on track and I don't think RJ is crazy enough to say that less than a week out unless he was pretty sure. That said, nobody knows what initial volume looks like. Lots of LE holders (myself included) still haven't gotten Guide calls, so it could be a pretty slow ramp up.

This has me curious. It seems like manufacturers are holding off on getting these through the gov. Does anyone know if they submit them at the last minute to avoid info getting out? Or do if they submit the test info, and then have to send in another packet showing the production intent vehicle isn't significantly different?

ICE only :(
I'm not sure that the NTHSA is actually a thing, so if they're waiting for that, we're in trouble.
The amount of typos and basic editing issues at electrek is a major turnoff. It seems to have increased significantly in the last year or so--or maybe I just didn't notice them. I mostly just look at their headlines and then go to whatever source they're citing for most of their posts.
