Buildings go up fast in LA and they get dirty fast. It is not a clean city. You are clearly not from around here.

My take is someone took these pics (shared on Twitter):

(btw, note the buildings across the street match the current Google Street View for Pico Blvd)

They for some reason though the white SUV might be an R2 so they had AI rotate the image and ended up with this (found on Reddit):

That image looks horribly AI'd so they blurred it to make it more unclear. This would explain the "new" dirty buildings in the back plus all the odd perspectives.

I was incredibly skeptical myself.... But, the "moldy" building is indeed in streetview. It's just not directly across the street from the parking garage, it's further away. The angle of the shot paired with a zoom lens has compressed the image so the moldy building looks like it's directly across the street. From streetview:

I think I've seen the light and I'm a newfound "believer".

Yes, the images he posted look correct, but the image from the OP and others looks wrong. If people are modifying images to include taller trees, extra buildings etc then I'm not gonna believe any part of it.

Still doesn't mean it's an R2... and tbh I'm sticking with my R1 so I'm just here stirring the pot.

The buildings, trees, etc are all there.... I'm now convinced this is just a matter of a photo shot with a telephoto lens that has compressed the image, and then further digitally zoomed in. My analysis:

I think I've invested enough of my life in this now.... lol. I'll just wait till March 7th and know for sure.

You think this could explain the fact that the person near the charger is much larger than the two people that are a good 30' closer to the camera. I understand your point that a cell phone picture can have lots of irregularities and not be a spoof but this has many anomalies that don't pass my BS test.

Maybe it's a friggin' huge guy.

On 5 vs 7 passenger: If it's even just a foot shorter than the R1S, there would be extremely little space behind a usable 3rd row. I would really strongly prefer a 5-seat option like they originally planned for the R1S. If I switch from an R1S to an R2, it will be much more important for me to not lose valuable cargo space with a 3rd row I'll never use. With the R1S it's fine because the cargo space is massive anyway.
