I dont know one way or another - but asking may get a yeah we're here or a good idea I'll join or something totally different..... the thread starter was asking for stuff....I suggested something....
Yours and every question posted in the thread so far has been on topic and legitimately unanswered by Rivian as yet. I'm not sure why people are getting shamed for positing their questions, just as the OP had requested.

Thank you! I feel the same way. Sometimes you can get answers to questions you have without asking questions.....interrogation isn't always the best approach...

I think you have opened Pandora's box here.

My suggestion, have your lunch, ask him the questions on your mind and let him ask you what he needs to get from the engagement.

This is a director of Customer Engagement. Try to keep the conversation around his scope of responsibility and see if that can help in provide some changes around customer focus and information sharing coming from them moving forward.

My opinion, it is a waste of time asking this person for vehicle details or when we will get vehicle details. Much more productive to share your experience where you feel they can do a better job around customer focus and inclusion.

Good Luck, hope you have a fruitful session.

This, but in keeping with how relevant most of the other questions people have asked for are, ask him… would he rather fight one horse sized duck, or 100 duck sized horses??

I think the analogy is a little off.

A better analogy would be when your accountant comes to your house, would it be better served to talk to him about the best ways to manage your money or what color to paint the walls.

Odd, but that’s a question I ask myself at least three times a day. ;)???

I have a couple... sort of similar to others people are asking:

  • Why not be more transparent about locations, colors, and other configuration choices and their impact on delivery date? It's frustrating to see long time order holders hear nothing, while relatively recent ones are getting guides thanks to color or location. Long time order holders are likely more loyal and probably feel a little slighted or betrayed.

  • It'd be cool to see a little more engagement with those active on social media. For such a new and modern company, it feels weird to get old school 'Volter Media' videos and have popular YouTube channels like Rivian Stories be completely in the dark and on their own. Just like with the first question, Rivian seems to miss opportunities to embrace their fan base and instead take a conservatively, old school, and somewhat aloof approach to what could be their best customers.

This is an excellent question - it's a microcosm of Rivian Comm ills.

The color should have been a centerpiece of LE vehicles and should have been shown and touted in real life long ago. Instead, everyone discovered what it looked like due to random pictures taken at a random event by a random reservation holder.

BTW, that's not a criticism of @DuckTruck BTW. He's been amazing and a serendipitous communication event for Rivian. For me, he's done more to build my enthusiasm for the truck than all of the communications from Rivian actual over the last year combined.
RWerksman,

Thank you for that. It has been, and will continue to be a pleasure sharing what I learned and experienced. I’d love to be at this lunch as well, not to step on KWeimers toes, but because it sounds like a wonderful opportunity to learn and build a better understanding between all parties.

Enjoy yourself, KW! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts afterwards.

Another idea... find ways to stay connected with the fan base and preorder holders. I bet most of us would LOVE to get something in the mail with the paint and interior swatches. I bet we'd even up our pre-order dollar amount to get them. That would likely also help Rivian identify who is really serious about buying one.

Hooray--I love push back!!
Push back at ya--they have allowed many reviewers to thoroughly examine the truck and taken some out for drives. Hell, they just debuted the thing a few months ago. Much more communications and openness since it debuted.

Okay, okay, I'll give that the emails haven't been all that often, but I personally feel less left in the dark. And, it has only been a few months since pre-orders started.

As for the tours/test drives, the registration for that popped up last week and we managed to get in on that before it was full and closed down. Sorry you missed it. The one we're going to is in the Seattle area. I actually found out about it through a Lightning FB group. Just lucky and it wasn't Ford that told me about it, so you are correct there, too, for a push back. Well done there at slapping me down!!

Maybe quote: "There just aren't a ton of questions about it in my mind." that's because Ford has done such a good job telling us all about the Lightning? I say YES!
Is it possible you feel that way about the lightning since it isn't all that different from the F-150 ICE vehicle? I mean the interior and exterior are basically the same. The console is effectively the same as the Mach-E. Rivian is creating something completely new and that could cause people hold them to a different standard than our traditional manufacturers.

What I want to know is actual range numbers.

How do each of there models effect range?

What impact does the off road package have on range?
What is the impact of street tires versus all terrain tires.?
What is impact of off caring all of their gear IE. Tent, camp kitchen?

How do road conditions effect the range Hot day 100 degrees cold day 10 degrees how much range do you lose?

at max payload how much range is lost?

Will Rivian charge network offer free charging for owners even if only for a limited time?

Some of this I want to know before I finalize my order.
Do I lose 20% of range if I have the adventure package with off road package and all terrain tires along with the camp kitchen.
As most of my time will be on streets and occasionally going off road.

When is someone like TFL going to get the truck to Review.
