I chose to buy a new set of MSW 20 inch with 275/60R20 snow tire for the winter. It has the almost same circumference so no calibration change. The ride is unexpectedly smoother with similar efficiency. I think I'll keep this combo for some time to come!

Summit Racing now saying May for ship date.

It's all guessing on their behalf. Until it shows up on TireRack, I'm not holding my breath.

I am remaining optimistic. I think that these 21" Michelins will be coming soon.

I really hope you're right, and that these both show up sooner than later, and don't kill range compared to the Pirelli's. I'm needing a set of tires in the next 6 months and I'd prefer Michelin.

Interesting thread.

I've been very happy with my 21's. Just did another rotation at 20k miles and I'm at 5 or 6/32 all the way around. I'm also not always light footed, but most of those 20k are highway miles. I expect to get at least 30k miles out of the Pirellis, maybe even a bit more. It would take me a lot to change from there but these do look tempting.

I wouldn't either if it last 30k miles. I'm at 14k miles and already at 4/32 all evenly. All purpose driving and rotated once at 7k miles where they told me I don't need to do it that often.

Really strange. I am at 12k and mostly 7/32-8/32 . I did an alignment after about 2k. All purpose with conserve on highway (10%)

Yeap. i have seen reported of as low as 10K and high as 30k on these 21" in the forum. Not sure mine will last to 20K miles. I drove about 10% conserve mode during a few of of trips (highway only) and don't have happy feet either.

Would be interesting to see testing on energy consumption of MICHELIN Defender LTX M/S 2 vs (OEM) SCORPION VERDE A/S
The Michelin is not out yet for the 21" . However, there are a few folks that switched from 21" to 275/60/20 and riding the Michelin defender LTX. This will be the most comparable since the diameters are almost the same. Hopefully will have some reports soon.

I would check alignment - when extensive wear happening, this is the first thing to check imho

Rivian did two alignments around 4k and 6K miles due to slight drift to the right. To quote their favorite phrase "within specs". All of my tires wearout evenly, just a little too fast for my taste.

This is the best option IMHO , and make sense if you are going to own the car for another 40k miles (2 sets of tires). The price for wheels + 20" tires + tpms < $3,000

Well, in this case the only explanation is your driving style ;)

This is what I did. Weather has made it difficult to get a good read on comparative efficiency, but so far it looks like it's pretty close. Most likely it's slightly less efficient than the 21" AS but more than the 20" AT. I know @Atomic Wheels did a test and this option with their wheels was more efficient than OEM 20" wheels.

For reference, my 21" tires made it 26k miles and were at the nubs. I was starting to get a lot of slipping, especially with any throttle from a stop.
