Elevation audio sounds flat after 2023.50.01 OTA Update?

Has anyone noticed a change to their audio system after the .50 update? I didn’t see any mention in the release notes about changes to the stereo. I upgraded from .46.

My Elevation system sounds flat now even though the EQ settings remain unchanged. Also, the Enhanced 3D setting is much less pronounce, little to no difference toggling btw Enhanced and On. My Dynamic Audio setting remained unchanged, set on low.

I have the Meridian system and haven't noticed that but did notice some distortion from the overhead speakers for the first time in the 10 months since delivery.

I’m super impressed with the sound system. Best I’ve had in a car.

Before the update, whenever I toggled the 3D Surround to Enhanced it was way too loud (the overhead speaker). Now, after the update, I barely hear it.

Update: I did an Infotainment reset and the audio quality has returned back to previous levels (before update).

Try doing an Infotainment reset…. Maybe something also fubar from the update. That said, I do agree that I’ve heard better… no comparison to the Bose or B&O system in my Audi’s.

I will try that. The best sounding system I’ve had so far in any prior vehicle was the meridian system in my Range Rover. I was excited when I heard itwas the sound system of choice in our Rivian’s until I got mine and was told they switched to in house.

I was also checking a Reddit thread about this issue and others have reported that their system switched to mono but the reset was able to fix it.

That’s how I’d describe what I was hearing as well… mono.

Meridian. I'll do a reset later and it should be fine.
