Don’t think Rivian meets the requirement that 50% of battery minerals come from the U.S.

But, leases circumvent these rules and are eligible for the full $7500

There are battery sourcing requirements. The goal is to get as much of the supply chain as possible to be of US origin. That could take years to adjust for some automakers.

Battery component sourcing rules. Some of Tesla's batteries are made here in the US.

Exactly. Unless you have an early reservation, you're not getting a quad large for under $80K. The price is closer to $100K now.

These listings include which battery size.

also, based on other rumors, the standard pack is different chemistry and Teslas version seems to stock that battery from overseas. I wouldn’t say it’s certain the standard would qualify.
