2024.01 build ?
In keeping with their current four weekly build then it would be 2024.02 and surely you would want the staff to have a nice end of year break.

The last thing I want is a distracted driver watching a movie when they should be driving. I can totally see that the only time you can access the streaming services is:

1) Rear seats with monitors in the headrests and watch anytime.

2) When you are at a charging station or in the park you can stream Netflix, Disney, etc on the main screen. I know there are times I will drive with my wife to the mall and just stay in the car and surf the net or watch a movie while she is shopping.
i don’t think any cars allow video in motion. This is obviously dumb and illegal. But having it while parked at a dc charger is great!

It's a wonder people can even survive without video in their car. Because video on your phone isn't enough. Because God forbid we are left to our own thoughts and have to find some way to occupy ourselves.

Reminds me of my kids when they were toddlers - "I'M BORED"!
Ha! As my dad used to say; "Boring people get bored!"
I'll stick to streaming a much longer list of services on my tablet over the hotspot.
There are SO MANY things I'd rather have first before bandwidth is spent integrating video. Oh well...

I remember reading a story a few months back saying that Tesla used too....but I don't know for sure. Definitely at a charging station would make sense or anytime the car is in park. With back seat monitors, I think that would be a great thing as well....especially on long trips.

I’ve had many teslas and never remember it working when driving!!! Only the backseat monitors would do that on model X etc.
But drivers monitor only when at charger/parked.

They do not. My Mach E has YouTube and my Hummer has Hulu, only enabled when in park. I have not used either one.

I won’t dispute those who think this feature is unnecessary and low priority. We all use the car in our own ways.

For me however, if you do any kind of youth sports chaperoning like I do daily, you KNOW how much time you spend sitting in your car “waiting”, before, during and after practices, meets, games, stopping by diff households, charging, waiting for diff siblings who are doing diff sports at diff schedules. This is especially true for R1S owners who bought the 3-row SUV to be a kids carrier. Having streaming options to keep the rascals from killing each other is paramount for the adult sanity (ie yours truly).

Having had Tesla for years and still own a Y, having no in-car entertainment option such as streaming or in vehicle games is by far the biggest thing I miss while using the Rivian. As a gamer myself, I’ve truly enjoyed playing games, singing karaoke with my kids as a family event in the Tesla (when we have had to spend time in the car such as roadtripping).

I don’t care about data usage as I’ve used my phone’s hotspot with my Teslas forever.

None of these are necessary, but neither is having a Rivian. These are luxuries and first-world problems.
