Never mind.. the progress bar is moving. 7% now

No luck for me. I got the update notification when I tried to push from the phone app got a message that the update could not be installed and to call Rivian service. The status is stuck in ‘preparing update’ at 0%. Any others facing the same issue?

Mine sat for ~30 minutes like that. Now up to 7%

Holy ?!!!! It just jumped to 7% like that twizzstyle dude said it would!’!!!

i am not getting out of line though for CS, cause

Now where is my update? It’s not fair that only 3% are getting the update. I demand compensation!

Just kidding of course, glad those that were impacted are getting an OTA fix relatively quickly.

For me , It will jumped to 7% after 5 minutes and stayed there for a while. I guess they did not have time to test the progress bar .. ???

There must be a thing called Rivian Time to explain why there promised deadlines never seem to match with common interpretations (e.g. end of this summer, by tomorrow morning , 35 minutes)

Jumped straight to « All systems go » after 7% for 5 more minutes. I’ll take a buggy progress bar to have the full system back ?

The update showed up 32 minutes before I need to go get my daughter at her after school activities so anxious to get back home where I can initialize it now.

A good teaching moment for me though because I said that although I won't get the updates pretty quickly in the future I would at least let a few people get updates in the future before I initialize. I'm now prepared to call me wait while it sits at 0% and rockets to 7% and then says it failed and have confidence that it is still going okay.

That was longer than 35 minutes but less than an hour.

for reference , it stayed at zero for a very long time, then at 7percent for an almost as long time, then it was done.
Looks like normal again in the Rivian.

Back in business with a successful update.

As others have mentioned, you’ll get an error message at first. Don’t worry about it. It’ll sit at 0% progress for while, then 7%, then 95%.

Took about 35 minutes as advertised.

Overall, VERY impressed with how quickly Rivian fixed this! Wassym and his team deserve some recognition for their accountability and action.

This will quickly be a distant memory.

Now let’s ramp up the powered tonneau replacements! ?
