What location on hood of r1s do cross bars look the best?

It is wild to me how often I see R1S drivers around town with bare crossbars sitting on top not being used. >50% Iā€™d say.

Feedback from folks who went from R1T > R1S

I switched last July, so not a particularly early build R1S. Drives better IMO and prefer the shorter wheelbase and increased maneuverability. The one thing I miss is the gear tunnel - that was awesome to have! edit to add: the driving characteristics changed considerably over the updates last...

R2 / R3 has heat pump (confirmed by RJ)

Why? Does it not work as well for larger cars?

Gear Guard is just about useless.

Like the idea for low traffic parking spots. But as it stands now there would need to be some sensitivity adjustments available and/or event type detection (impact, theft attempt vs. pedestrian within 3 ft) . If Iā€™m at parking spots where people walk by a lot there is a recording every 20-30...

    Thoughts on R2 options

He corrected that later in follow up conversations to say that it is 270 miles for the base version.

    R2 efficiency chart shows 3.12 mi/kwh (3.99 average) -- at reveal event

Not sure we can read much into that. Could have been a mock, or if it was real, we donā€™t know the config. Single motor RWD, Dual AWD or Triple motor AWD?

Received my $7,500 Tax Refund for Amended 2022 Return!

In case you havenā€™t called yet, there is a number to call listed in the ā€œWhereā€™s my amendmentā€ site depending on your returnā€™s status. I had to call three times before they finally initiated a review and processed it.

Rivian 10 year Depreciation Schedule and Cross Shopping with R2 in 2026

Thinking along the same lines. Would love to replace the glass roof with a hard top panel that can be removed for nice weather.

Curious, is yours through Rivian or direct through Nationwide? Just got our renewal via Rivian insurance (which is Nationwide in CA) and itā€™s up 45%.

California FS - Manual Tonneau Cover - Brand New - $1,200

Ok. That took a few weeks, but Rivian replaced all panels and shipped in 2X the padding to ensure no issues. For anyone still looking for one - Iā€™ve inspected it and itā€™s all in perfect condition. Can meet in the Bay Area to hand it off.

California FS - Manual Tonneau Cover - Brand New - $1,200

Quick update - when I met with a buyer and we did a more thorough inspection as he went to put them on his truck we saw that the back of each panel was dented in shipping. So still available once I get the new replacement that is fully undamaged, but on hold until then. Definitely not willing to...

Same. Neither our R1T or R1S purchase process involved setting up a pin.

    2023.46 Software Update Details (Highway Assist / Driver+ / Navigation & More...)

If youā€™re traveling in the Rivian Iā€™d wait. If itā€™s just at home then not as big a deal. I was 3,000 miles away from home, traveling with ours, when the first update bricked my infotainment, so it was a stressful 48 hours waiting for the fix.
