I wonder if they pushed this first to people who semi-bricked their trucks.

I haven’t gotten the update yet, and honestly, I don’t know if I should press the update button if I did. Finally got my truck back from the SC last night, and I’ve got a trip coming up in two days and don’t want a bricked vehicle.

Congrats to those who have the update coming through. I’m still waiting for mine. Hope it happens in the next hour. Gotta go run some errands before dinner.

I keep watching my router to see it downloading, but nothing yet. I'm going to update ASAP, can't get much worse than it is now I WON'T BE AFRAID! So unafraid, I already updated my signature! (feel free to copy :) )

I'm probably going to update pretty fast in the future when they come through, but maybe I'll wait to at least see one or two others say it was successful before initiating.

When I did call support, she did indicate that it appeared some were having issues getting the push. I'm not sure if they pushed all the updates at once. Kind of make sense the wouldn't, but considering this is to fix a big issue they might want to blast it sooner rather than later. They said they'd call me back once they had someone available to troubleshoot live with me.

Can anyone confirm your update came over wifi vs LTE? I don't have good LTE reception at home, so if it's using that maybe that's my problem.
It will use Wi-Fi if connected, otherwise it will use cellular.

This would make sense. Sometimes when I open the app, motion cam turns it self on. I turn it off and close the app. A few more login and it will be back on. What is going on in the truck!

CS (via chat) just told me they are still pushing out the updates (in waves). If by end of the day we don't have it, to connect with them again. And by end of day, I am assuming they mean 6 PM PST.

Alright that makes sense. Looking at my router I am not seeing major downloads from the truck, just small stuff, so I assume it didn't download anything and the errors I'm seeing are from Monday.

Also, I wouldn't assume "end of day" means 6pm PST :)

Just downloaded over wifi, but haven’t been prompted to update yet

Just downloaded over wifi, but haven’t been prompted to update yet

It was about 4.8GB for me and it definitely paused a few times while downloading.

I also did not get the failed message when updating, it sat at 0% for about 20 minutes then was 7%, then complete. Didn't even get an update complete notification...

My OTA status according home assistant (via Rivian API) just changed to "preparing" and the "latest version" is now 2023.42.02, so I think it's happening. The prior status in my HA history is Downloading for ~8 minutes. So think it has the update and getting things ready. No message in the Rivan app however. Fingers crossed.

Edit: just got the notification to update. And started :)

I also got the update notification. When I started, it immediately sent me a message that it failed, then began downloading anyway...
