2022 R1T & 2020 Tesla Model Y LR & R1S on order
Amazon sent me 285/50/20 tires and I’m over looking for smaller wheels.

I broke down and ordered the ev sportline R1000 20” wheels. And just ordered a set of 20s tires.

I’m going to be selling the 21” wheels and try and recoup some of the money if anyone is looking for 21” spare.

They are offering free shipping on the wheels. Hopefully the will come by end of october.

has anyone tried these tires? Tire rack still only lists the pirelli’s for the 21” rims
They still haven't made them. I ended up going with 20" wheel and going with the Defender LTX m/s2 in 275/60/20 (33" vs 32.9")which ends up being the same size as my old 21". I avoid having to get my truck recalibrated

What did that do to your range?

Going to need new 21” s00n. Currently going through the whole “should I switch to 20s?” fiasco.

Going to need new 21” soon. Currently going through the whole “should I switch to 20s?” fiasco.
I just switched today to 20” off-road w/pirellis.

The truck doesn’t feel as connected with the road and the steering wheel has some shake at interstate speed as compared to my 21s. Not gross…just not as smooth. I didn’t notice road noise.

The SC couldn’t update my truck to the 20s as someone at HHQ needs to update a database…then the SC can update the truck. Ridiculous…and I hope a software update address this in the future.

thanks man. Good feedback. One thing I know I don’t want is A/T tires for my needs. I want the 20s look, tire selection, and A/S tires.

I specifically don’t want the SC to reprogram my truck to 20s with A/T 34” tires.

So that’s where I am with the whole “fiasco” label. I’m making (unnecessarily ) hard.

yep, if I would have had more time I would have picked up the wheels and had Michelins mounted. I suspect they’d be smoother. The SC was the quicker option.…and I’m hitting snow season. Report back if you go that route as I’m leaning toward road tires after these off-road tires are worn.

Ev sport line wheel and defender tires ran me 3k.
the tires have a pretty good warranty if they last for the two plus years they state. It will equal out to cheaper then buying new factory 21s

I just booked an appointment at a local shop to mount 275/50/R21 Michelin defenders for me. I'm going to order them on Tirerack.
What is the load rating on those? Please keep us update on efficiency and ride.

They are 113 load ratings, which is why I'm going to a local shop instead of DT or Costco. The cost of wheels + tires was just prohibitive for me. I'm going to roll with this until someone comes out with a OEM spec 21" tire or a reasonable cost wheel comes out in the OEM 20" size.

You can get wheels for Rivian 20" for $1300 at TireRack (+48 offset). Then you can put any tire you want.

Not until December, at which point my tires will be shredded. I've got maybe 2mm left today, so sure if I wanted to leave the R1T in the garage until the wheels come at the end of the year that would work.
