Looking for feedback on comfort for short term sleeping in the back of the RS1. Who's done it?

I camped in the back one night with my son at the trailhead before a backpacking trip. We used the Exped mattress and it was super comfortable. I'm 6'4" and he is 6'1".

For those sleeping in their R1S, any interest in being able to preserve cargo storage and have a full 6ft bed to sleep on? That's the primary advantage of our convertible sleeping platform: You keep the 2nd row, and can quickly deploy the sleeper to allow for easy set up of a bed without having to pile all your gear on the front seats, roof, etc! I have a picture of a Land Cruiser below as we haven't done anything in an R1S before, but it would be very similar.

We think the R1S is a prime candidate for one of our systems!

AirDownGearUp - approximately how much headroom would your system leave in an R1S? Thanks!

Our existing Land Cruiser System is 13inches total height, which leaves 28inches overhead. This is driven by the 2nd row seat height when folded, which obviously is different on the Rivian. We will be using our 100% self supported sleeper sliding mechanism (as used in the our 4Runner and FJ Cruiser systems).

With that in mind, our Rivian height is somewhat open for deliberation! There's definitely a trade off between height and usable storage space. We are trying to provide large enough drawers to accomodate common camping equipment (think 1lb propane canisters, for example) without sacrificing too much overhead space on the sleeping platform.

Also as a BTW we are big supporters of the Exped mattresses, they are fantastic!
