I received mine as well. They are a hot mess. Two of the mats have hooks already attached. Three do not. There is a pile of adhesive hooks in the bottom of the box along with a single long strip of loop material with adhesive. It is all a tangled up mess. There are no instructions. There is nowhere near enough loop with adhesive to accommodate more than two of the mats at best, if i am stingy with it.

Super disappointing, especially for $160! Did you have same?

I got a set of 10 hook strips and a long pile of the loop side that I had to cut to size. The loop side was slightly longer than all the strips combined, but not much slack.

Only my 2nd row larger half cover had strips pre-installed, although honestly I would probably prefer none of them be preinstalled since I had to move them further inward anyway.

How do they look when seats are folded up? Images please, if you would :)

They recommend leaving it down for 48hrs to let the adhesive set, but I'll see about getting some photos of seats up this weekend after it has sat a bit.

Got mine installed. Was short some tape but got it sorted.

On balance, I would give this a C grade. It is fine for what it is, but I regret not buying the Canvasback instead. This solution is kludgy and demands a lot of compromises. The tailgate flap is awkward, the second row split seat is (as you can see here) two piece. You lose a lot of R1S functionality with this. Lay-flat floor, for example, and the subtrunk essentially disappears. The third row requires an additional step to fold up. Etc. I bought the R1S for its flexibility and this detracts from that.

As of now, my 2 cents is skip the LinerX and buy the CanvasBack. I am not super excited about throwing away $270 so not sure if I am going to bin these, but probably. As always, your preferences may vary.

I got my 2nd and 3rd row seat covers and installed them today. Including some pictures in case anyone is interested in what the full set looks like.

Installation was pretty straightforward. You get the mats + hook and loop strips to place on the seatbacks and underside of the covers. Some things that came to mind as I was installing them though:

  • It would be useful to have some extra velcro on hand in case you mess up with any of the provided strips
  • Consider where you place the velcro strips on the covers, if you place it at the very edge as they do on the 2nd row cover then you'll end up putting the loop adhesive on the fabric portion of the seats. I relocated all the hook strips inwards a row or two to avoid this.
  • The large 2nd row cover came with velcro pre-installed, but at the edges. I had to pull them off and reinstall further in which probably compromised the adhesive a bit
  • There is a bit of play in lining the mats up with either the top or the bottom of the seats. Up to you which you prioritize covering.
  • The provided strips allow for 3 per cover on the 3rd row and 4 on the 2nd row. The provided loop strip has a bit extra compared to the hooks but not a significant amount if you end up greatly overshooting. This is where extra might come in handy.
  • It might be worth flattening the folded 2nd row cover before installing it. I can see it rising a bit in my pictures and I might need to redo it with fresh adhesive velcro if it shifts a bit when flattened out.
Edit: Including some photos of what I mean when I say velcro installed on outer edge vs where I moved it to inner

Very disappointed with the 2nd and 3rd row RI1S seat back covers… both the quality and the versatility leaves a lot to be desired… I had big expectations given how much I like the liner X floor mats. Compared with the 2nd and 3rd row seat back
covers in my wife’s Hyundai Palisades ( purchased off Amazon- Thinzyou brand), These are very much inferior. These are not plug and play… cuts outs are required.. u have to cut and install Velcro on the seat backs, install hook on the covers, align, u lose functionality.- like the seat pass thru in the 2nd row, plus the flap at the base of the 3rd row is a big mess… I may have to return these…. Not up to par with the liner x floor mats.

Going to return mine. These are not going to work for me, but I greatly and sincerely appreciate how the company stands behind its product and honors its 30 day return policy no questions or quibbles. Even though this particular product is not well suited for me, I would not hesitate to try a different LinerX in the future.

Thank you very much.

Questions:
1) Did you have to tape the liner onto the carpet using tape/velcro?

2) Some of the posts above states disappointment with the liners. Are you good with them?

3) Was everything needed to keep the liners fastened to the back of the seats suppliers?

Again, thanks for taking the image and posting, and the questions in advance!

Yeah, they provide a roll of adhesive-backed loop and pre-cut hook strips. You have to cut and install the loop strips yourself, and put the hook pieces on the back of the mats yourself (one of my mats had hooks preinstalled, but i removed reinstalled them to change locations).

In my case everything I needed was in the box, but some other posters in here seem to have been a bit short on the loop strips. Adhesive velcro strips arent too expensive on amazon if you need it, but seems a bit hit or miss.

As for keeping them, I'm on the fence for now. They function well in protecting the surfaces they are applied to, but now that I have everything in place I'm leaning towards wanting something to bridge the gap between the 2nd and 3rd row seats. Not sure if folks have found any good options for one-piece liners that reach up the sides.
