New Proximity Garage Door Openers

After downloading the .30 update, I was able to set up proximity garage door opening for my main three garage doors. As I pull in the driveway the system recognizes where it is and offers me a choice of which door to open. By scrolling on the little wheel on the right side of the steering wheel, I can select which door to open and push the right button to engage. It works beautifully.

The question I have is can a second and third proximity be set up? The system in my R1T has a total of 9 openers programmed into it at 5 different locations.

As far as I know proximity garage door is limited in the same way as proximity unlock is and that's one location.

I have my R1S set up for proximity garage doors at 2 locations 63 miles apart from one another. Works flawlessly for me.

I simply went to Garage A and enabled it, then next time at Garage B, I did the same.

Proximity garage definitely works at multiple locations. I don‘t know if there is a maximum number of locations, however.

I need a 2nd and 3rd home, dammit! My poor lifestyle with only one set of garage doors... alas.. how shalt I flex on the neighbors??!

Maybe @moosetags should ask his servants to open the garage for him when they see him arrive?!!

That's awesome you can have 9 devices. Wasn't homelink always limited to 3?

As far as this garage door opener issue goes, I would like a second proximity open for my subdivision gate. The gate is about 300' from my garage doors. I hope that this is a far enough separation for a second proximity. What do I need to do to activate a second proximity for the gate opener?

As far as the many garage door openers that I need, It has nothing to do with being affluent. We have 3 garage doors at our house plus the gate. We also have three of our sons nearby and I have remotes for all of their garage doors. In my Silverado I have the 3 Homelink openers installed in the truck. I also have 2 three button remotes clipped to the visor. I really appreciate the fact that Rivian allows for up 16 openers in their system.

That was generally because there were only three physical buttons. But again, Rivian doesn't use HomeLink.

For my other house I just pulled up to the garage door, pressed to open it and got a prompt asking if I wanted to use location prompting.

If you go to the garage screen, go to settings, and expand any of the configured garages, there is a toggle for location prompting. I think you need to be in front of the opener first so it knows the location. I think 300 feet would be enough separation, my prompt seems to be under 150 feet to bring up the prompt.
