Not really sure what you expect just dropping an hour long video when you can’t even be bothered to include a brief word.

TLDR - he is selling because he doesn’t have any use for a truck and is mad that his truck is not an appreciating asset

Asking over $80k for a R1T with 25k miles was… ambitious. Asking us to watch this hour long video is… something.

There’s been an explosion of R1T videos recently and they’re all about an hour long bag of nothing burger. This one is not unique either. If you look at his previous videos he does this with every car. Buy dream car, produce several videos, sell months later, buy next dream car. How are we supposed to take you serious?

Maybe we should put a ban on people who join the forum to drive traffic to their YouTube channels? Or at least relegate them to the sponsored area since they are just using the forum to harvest clicks?
Needs all the clicks for more revenue, probably to compete with his S/O’s OnlyFans income ?

I understand that not everyone is a car enthusiast, but I see the, “Buy dream car, produce several videos, sell months later, buy next dream car.” as the equivalent of what car reviewers have done for magazines. The big difference is that @branden is using his own money to buy them so he can do a long-term review. I like getting the perspective of someone who has actually lived with a vehicle for a while.

It’s always bugged me when a car reviewer has so little time with a vehicle that they miss things which are obvious to someone who drives the same vehicle regularly. I see content like @branden creates as a video version of a long term review, but without potential conflict of interest by being beholden to the manufacturers for the short-term review vehicles they provide.

I really liked that he took the time to do a thorough review of one choice of a popular accessory: running boards. I wish someone had a similar concept to what @branden is doing but they went over the installation, pros and cons of a range of accessories. This would give us an idea of which product in a category worked best for each of us according to our own priorities.

I appreciate this video being made even if I have no interest in watching it myself.

I have sworn off YouTube as completely useless at this point so I haven’t watched the video, but Branden seems like a good guy. I wish him luck with his next vehicle.

This is not even close to an accurate TLDR. This is a TLDR of the less than 5 min section of the video about selling it and doesn’t even acknowledge the review portion of the video.

I have liked some of his videos, which were shorter, some had some good information. Others I hadn't bothered to try to watch because they were too long (many YouTubers are). This is almost the same length of a feature film.

I watched a video of Brandon's yesterday where he prominently mentioned tat he was "buying a house in the next year" as a major reason for selling.

Not sure if this was the video, but that seems reasonable and probably should be included in any summary.

Always really enjoyed your videos @branden, sorry to see you sell because we’ll have less quality Rivian content! But your reasons make sense and I wish you luck in the house hunt.

edit: also you and Kyle were both big positive inputs in me following through in buying my R1T so thanks for that. I’m sure that’s true for many owners.

Rivian is an expensive luxury item and as such isn't for everyone. We all have different priorities in where we spend our money and different levels of disposable incomes. I didn't need any YouTube clicks to help fund mine and honestly being famous would seem like a punishment for me personally. That's why this is the closest I even get to social media let alone making videos of myself.

I don't think you're going to get 80K from a R1 with 25K miles on it though. That seems a bit ambitious.

Yikes, rough crowd. I say @branden should do his thing as he sees fit. If his content is good views will come if they are not then less so. I haven't watched this particular video but I doubt he was asking for input into our feelings on his You Tube brand.
