You could wait until 2026 and MB or order a FWD converted PM with a 125kWh battery pack today.

Cost of these things is insane to me for the lack of capability. I guess if you're buying one, it's not going to be for overlanding, it's going to be glamping where you don't actually go very far in a single day.

Definitely not, I assume by the time you add AWD and some AT tires that 125kW battery would seem very small but on the other hand I don't think the overlanding market is what they are targeting. Even today a ICE Promaster built by Airstream starts at around $150k in those contexts the price is probably about right assuming similar build quality.
