They said something that could be interpreted either way and it's not productive to speculate as to what they meant.They've said they'd repair failed tonneaus under warranty... That doesn't mean everyone gets the new design.
They sent all powered tonneau owners an email saying "Your tonneau cover is not up to our durability standards" and "we are working on a solution and a process for replacing existing tonneau covers."
They haven't expressly promised verbatim "We will replace tonneaus that are working perfectly fine" (which mine still is 18,000 miles later); but a C- lawyer could make a pretty strong case that they constructively commited to just that.
