How long from vehicle arriving at service center to clearing inspection?

My R1S arrived at the service center on Feb 4th and still hasn’t cleared Pre delivery inspection. Those of you who recently took delivery how long did it take from when the vehicle arrived at the service center to when it cleared inspection.

The Brooklyn SC has to cover a huge territory so I would guess it takes longer there than at some other service centers. Even then it’s not unusual to hear of people waiting at least 2 weeks.

Since Brooklyn covers such a large area they should have temporary centers in the area for delivery only. That eases the burden on Brooklyn and follows what they did in Oregon and DC

Mine arrived to the service center on or around Feb 1st. I took delivery yesterday the 11th.

I was just informed they are “waiting for parts” and the estimated time of completion is feb 20th

I think the only solution is to establish centers in all the surrounding states that Brooklyn is now covering. They are in the process of doing that, but until those SCs are open Brooklyn will remain overwhelmed. Right now they are the only SC for NY, PA, NJ, CT and I believe a couple other states as well.

From VIN to delivery is about 1 month. Could be quicker, could be longer. Rivian told you it would be 6-8 weeks, right? But it's probably going to be quicker than that. From your sig you got your VIN on 1/24/22. That means for a typical delivery you're still ~2 weeks out.

I'm not sure why you feel your vehicle is being delayed and why you feel the need to intervene in the process, when it seems to be on-track in your case. If you re-set your expectations to 6-8 weeks like they said then you'll be a lot happier with the way things are going.

After badgering she finally messaged me “Hey , it looks like we are waiting on some parts to arrive. Its estimated time for completion is 2/20.”

After badgering she finally messaged me “Hey , it looks like we are waiting on some parts to arrive. Its estimated time for completion is 2/20.”
I was informed that my R1S arrived at the Cleveland service center on 2/7, and the Cleveland service center called me and scheduled delivery for 2/14. I finalized payment on 2/10 and set up insurance to start on 2/13 (they informed me that all eight steps had to be ready by 2/13 to ensure delivery).

I got a call on 2/11 saying that they had to cancel my delivery because they were waiting on a part. No indication of what the part was or how long it will take. I'll learn more tomorrow when my guide is back in the office.

Not sure why they encourage delivery to be scheduled before verifying that the vehicle is good to go. Now they have my money, and I'm paying insurance for a vehicle not in my possession.

The experience could be better.
