I bet you get a lot of attention. I was very surprised how car crazy Germans are. I did a European Delivery on a new model BMW and got stopped by people everywhere.

Actually I was really worried about that so I had the shipper disconnect the 12V and HV batteries (lesser of two evils--disconnect/reconnect failure vs vampire drain). It was disconnected with around 60% charge, and had around 57% when reconnected. It was disconnected from 12 Jan to 2 Feb.

Just had a thought, are there any Tesla superchargers near you that are open to all vehicles? Curious to see you charging off one with that adapter. You could even post a new thread to troll everyone here ?

For better or worse, I don't believe Tesla has opened any yet. I may not have all the available information but I heard it was supposed to happen s00n?

Closest one to you appears to be in Wetzlar? The Tesla app claims it's open to non-Tesla cars.

Sounds like a road trip is in order. I will investigate! Could you post a screenshot of the app where it shows that it's open to all? I have the Tesla app but I never saw anywhere to charge another vehicle.

I might have to export mine to Iceland soon so have few questions for you
- I'm assuming stock nav doesn't work at all? Does cellular connection work? Does Spotify/TuneIn work at all?
- How exactly were the HV and LV batteries disconnected, physically?

Rivian actually has a way for an independent shop to get parts and information on repairing now. I haven't heard of anyone actually trying to go the official route yet though.

Tesla has opened up their network in Germany provided they are chargers using the ccs standard.

Also, @OutofSpecKyle did a video on this while in Austria, another country where telsa has initiated the pilot charging program. The video starts where they talk about how to initiate and pay for charging on their network.

i had a jeep in germany for about two years. just get adac insurance from different branches every month they have a policy about how many consecutive months they can give out temporary insurance to the same vehicle

I found out how to do this in the Tesla app after some searching. I will try it out for sure
