Thanks. Will do. Tell us more about how you feel about the CT?
I think it looks like a fifth grader drew it. It's ugly and a poor design. It makes me laugh how much it resembles a dumpster. None of that makes it about being less of a man which is what you attributed it to with your lipstick red comment.

Aren't the body panels integral to the structure?
The body panels being integral is a good point. Seems like it would be difficult to maintain structural integrity if that's the case. But 4680's are structural in the Y...perhaps there will be a way to distribute the impact load? That will be really, really interesting to see.

If Tesla does blow it in truck functionality, which I obviously doubt, it will be wide open for GM, Ford, RAM to do some serious EV marketshare damage to Tesla. These takes are very high and I find it incredibly interesting.

Please!!! Absolute juvenile behavior with nothing to be gained
Hang in there, I think we cleaned it up a bit! Skip the lipstick stuff and the toxic masculinity and we've moved into some somewhat interesting chat about the CT. Things like snow plowing and how heavy duty the vehicle will actually be. We've at least moved slightly closer to the thread topic.

Nice. See...now we are getting back after it.

Comment wasn't about your masculinity. You kind of took it down that path. I was just saying the color was cute. I bust my brother's balls about his red car too. He's more man than both of us put together. Like I said...sarcasm is dead.

Believe it or not on an afternoon bike ride today I actually came across a custom home builder sitting in his Rivian outside of a new build. He was unloading boxes of tile from the truck bed.

It's very rare that anyone would use a Rivian for a work truck. The same will go for the Cybertruck. Most tradesman can't afford an expensive truck and they aren't going to want the hassle of charging on the road. I would also bet many have a negative opinion of EVs in general and it will be another 10+ years before they start to get on board with electric trucks in large numbers. The Cybertruck will simply be a flashy object for Tesla fans and a "real truck" for a small number of people.

I'm not a truck person and originally wanted the R1S. I ended up with the R1T and love it as an "adventure" vehicle. I will never use it for towing or any traditional truck uses. It's basically a family/gear hauler and a camping vehicle. If my only options were a traditional electric pickup (F150, Silverado, etc) or the Cybertruck, I would have simply purchase the R1S or another off-road capable SUV.

My guess is most of the Cybertruck buyers aren't real truck people and the novelty will fade quickly.
My company does the books for a large-ish ($15-20M/Y) construction company. They have two Rivians and 4 more expected this year. The owner and his son use the first two the others will be going to their project managers. It’s mostly for the optics, they build almost exclusively in Malibu and Pacific Palisades. I hear the owner uses his all the time for moving tools and materials. You know just one of the guys on the job site. Haha

Not sure I talk shit with a lipstick red "adventure vehicle". But make no mistake, the CT is hideous.

Just not sure if I'd prefer to be in a "hideous" truck or a "cute colored" sort of truck.
I prefer the descriptor, “Heinous,” which rhythms with… Elon! ?

I unsure if I prefer ugly or the Pat/Terry look of the R1T.

I started out just wanting a two row max pack R1S with a winch bumper. How silly of me to think that Rivian would actually build what they offered. Probably no winch on the CT, but the aftermarket of manly items will likely be a lot more vibrant than Rivian.

The CT is ugly AF. I can't wait for my 2nd day Cybertruck reservation to be built and shipped to my local Tesla service center.
Me too, but first day depositor. I plan to flip the heinous behemoth for hefty profit to some “in need of instant gratification” fanboy! ?

I have a total of 3 CT reservations. One around 11am the day after the reveal and two more were made about 6-months later.

The early CT flippers are going to do very well with their profit margins. The demand for the Cybertruck is off the charts.
