I have heard of arguments of authority...is there now an argument of ownership?

Sarcasm is so dead these days.
Oh we got the sarcasm. it was just ham fisted and unfunny. Can we all go back to talking about how the cyber truck looks like a dumpster on wheels now?

Be interested to see where someone in this present conversation actually said that and was serious.
Yep, I said that about Tesla, not Elon (sorry @DuoRivians but you may want to check your "facts"). Multiple times in fact. I am basing that assessment on facts and figures, despite what @DuoRivians believes. However, it's not actual facts that are being debated, it's a perception of someone's thoughts on Elon Musk. People's detesting of Elon make them look past facts, which is precisely how bias works. There are actual facts in the world, whether we chose to ignore them or not is our own decision.

I'm not particularly interested in listing the facts I used to make my assessment of Tesla's current and future state. Everyone has Google and can do their own homework.

And it is actually not nonsense at all to declare that I think it's a fool's errand to underestimate Tesla. It is an assessment I've made using what I see as relevant facts, such as growth, expansion, P&L, R&D, and more.

Am I the only one who thinks the reflection off the shiny stainless is going to cause an accident?

So let me get this straight...one dude who led out by calling anyone that might have even a slightly pro Cybertruck opinion "fanboys" and then continued to make assertions on what a battery pack might cost is the "authority" on a subject matter.

And the guy who said that he wouldn't underestimate the largest EV company's R&D is an Elon apologist and has zero basis to make such a statement...even when he hedges his commentary with several references to "speculation".

Didn't every major auto maker laugh them out of their offices just like the rocket manufacturers did to SpaceX? Given that history, I'd say it's at least a shot that Tesla pulls it off...so I feel like kind of invalidates the "fanboy" moniker for stating as much.

So you think Tesla has some magical ability to buy lithium prices at way below market rate (like 80% off), especially since their long term contracts have basically run out?

That sounds like Tesla/Elon hopium.

Not sure I talk shit with a lipstick red "adventure vehicle". But make no mistake, the CT is hideous.

Just not sure if I'd prefer to be in a "hideous" truck or a "cute colored" sort of truck.
