I asked my guide about wheels, underbody, etc this morning. Aside from OC being last go go into production, it sounded like all combos are being produced now. Wheels weren’t a problem. I’m locked on colors so didn’t ask about that, but I’m sure BM is the best interior to have for delivery purposes.
Trust nothing a guide says.....

I am a Jan Feb delivery, at least before I confirmed my configuration and it went to processing estimate. I'm getting worried now about my delivery date and the IRS updated battery mineral sourcing guidance come March.

Does that mean someone receiving this email can hope to get their R1 in about 6 months?
Obviously this is just my opinion, but I feel like that is what they are shooting for after your configuration is confirmed. 6 months or less.

Using myself as an example, I received an Apr-Jun 2023 window in Nov 2022. 2 weeks later (in November 2022) I received the “confirm your configuration” email and was assigned a guide. My guide said they were trying to pin down more accurate batching so those emails were going out earlier than in the past. So he figured it would be at least 1 month before mine went into production, but he said it could literally be anytime They do a batch with other builds like mine. That hasn’t happened yet but he said he’s surprised we haven’t heard anything yet.

Watching other people here who confirmed at the same time I did, I’ve seen quite a few get their trucks and a few others still waiting like me. So it does seem like they are often beating that 6 month timeline, but even if I didn’t get mine till March they would still beat my window.

Now seeing they just sent out another batch of confirm emails, will update windows in a couple weeks, and start that cycle over again with the next window estimate being in April.

Just trying to pay attention to patterns. Probably need to see more to have a better idea what their plan is. I’m just glad they are trying to stick to a schedule and beat the windows. That will make more people happy.

Hello. New to the forum here.

Does anyone have a sense for if I were to change my wheel config before the 1/15 date, am I assured a delay in my delivery (currently 2024), or does it simply cause a potential shuffle in the delivery window based on batching of configurations?

Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I see you are an early '21 preorder with Apr-June delivery window. Did you get the confirm your configuration email last week? I am in a similar boat with regards to pre-order and delivery estimate, but was not asked to confirm my config. If any '21 pre-orders received the confirm config email, I haven't seen mention of it yet. Just curious
I haven't received the "confirm your configuration email".

This is a lot better than when I was being told "after 2023." I'm not in any particular rush but wouldn't mind getting my hands on one a bit earlier. Cheers.

For those of us who have confirmed our configuration, Tony's email didn't tell us about the January 15 cutoff. But I can still change my configuration by contacting my guide. And I'll get an updated delivery estimate at the end of January. Don't I need to know about the January 15 cutoff, too?

I just deleted XPEL from my configuration yesterday by emailing my guide (to get my MSRP < $80k). That configuration change also changed by delivery estimate from Apr-Jun to "processing."

Did not get an email today. Put in an R1S pre-order in November (no hurry for it to be ready, even if ready. Have an R1T now for 6 months.).

Would hope to move the reservation to an R2 at some point.

Well I might as well leave a comment here. I preordered my R1T in March 2022.. got assigned a guide in December and got an email recently to expect delivery end of January. I have not received any steps and already had it confirmed . I also preordered the R1S for my wife in May of 2022 and have not heard any updates on hers.

Your wife will be waiting quite a while since the S is still for Launch Edition so 2024 is a reasonable estimate for her. I ordered October 2021 and have a Q4 2023 estimate currently.

If you are 2024 then changing wheels now should have no impact. Even if you were sooner I cannot believe they don’t have sets of all six wheels on site ready to install as needed (they are selling them in the gear shops which would imply no supply issues) and can add them to the vehicles as they come of the line. I expect interior color, underbody shield and then exterior color are the key inputs to build sequencing.

I added Ocean Coast after the updated wood. I'm pretty sure that moved me from Q2 to Q3 of this year as I was a 1H23, but then moved to July-Sept.

I did just add the 22s and I'm pending. Hoping that still keeps me in July-Sept.
I am not on here enough to know the answer - it may be posted already: is Ocean Coast definitely pushing out dates? If so, I'll gladly change my configuration.

October 28th at 130pm PST was the last one... What are the odds today at 130pm we get our delivery windows?
