I installed black ones on my 22” wheels. Took ~3 hours over a couple weekends. Looked great after 9 months. Had to prematurely remove when my tire shop trashed them when mounting new set of tires.
On my R1S I noticed this hole in back right passenger door underneath the weather stripping that started to lift. It seems to me this could be a water intrusion point.
Thanks for sharing. Good to hear PDR fixed it for you. I’m going to keep checking around for reputable PDR shop in my area.
I had someone tell me some rivians have a door handle component that is epoxied to inside of door panel causing it to suck in just a bit.
That is what the tech said to me as well. Ugh. I’m still holding out for hope there is a solution. Until then I will live with it. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Hello everyone. I took delivery of my R1S back in May 2023. One of the many items to address with my first service appointment was some warping of the front door panels underneath the handles.
Unfortunately, when picking up vehicle 2 weeks later, the SC (Costa Mesa) said it was within factory...
At only $100 it’s a low risk mod. Just takes an afternoon and some patience. Gunmetal would be interesting. My concern is you have to be even more precise with install. Benefit of the black is the pieces are fractionally wider which gives some wiggle room to be a little off.

One side complete thus far. Took me about 1 hr per wheel.
A couple of the larger spoke pieces didn’t cover 100% on one wheel. Maybe some inconsistency in the machine finish. Not too noticeable.
