It's pretty much a given that you can take a given XC90 build and add $20k to estimate what the price will be. The reservation page shows that it will start at $80k, and that's for lower range and 5.7s performance, which is about right. Top spec definitely over $100k.

Their range figure is inaccurate. Live stream and other resources saying 600km or 372 miles.

That's for the European audience. The site they are referring to is for US reservations, so they are reporting what they expect the EPA rating to be, which is much more realistic. That will also be for the lower power, 5.7s performance version. Upping the power to the 4.7s will drop range, probably by 20-30 miles.

Yep I've seen it all. Not for me at this time. I'm remain happy with my R1T and Mach-E.

I was expecting to put down a deposit as soon as that opened up, but I was left feeling underwhelmed by the announcement.

The biggest letdown for me was the mid 2024 ETA and the lack of specifics. It feels more like another, "we're going to make some EV's at some point" announcement than actual fully fleshed out product.

And none of the details they did provide were felt like a particularly large improvement over the R1S. It feels like they have made the same mistake that many other traditional automakers have made, aiming to match today's offerings in a product that won't be available for a few years.

Agree it was mildly underwhelming. I think the ex's ride and driver assist functions are going to be superior. My wife cares 0% about Rivian's offroad capability. Two wild cards are when Rivian actually delivers to us (July-Sept window 23), and if the wife thinks the R1S has a better third row (which we will use frequently).

I got a confirmation email almost 2 hrs after putting in my reservation. I'm only #8162 because I was asleep post-call when the announcement was made.

Pretty much what I expected, and that is a good thing. Put in a reservation right before 10AM this morning, and heard from the local dealer shortly after. Probably going to be my wife's next vehicle unless she is blown away by the Kia EV9 or Hyundai Ioniq7.

Edit: Don't know how or if you can tell where you stand in the reservations, mine was 254XXXX and I thought I was pretty early. I'm guessing it is not sequential, or maybe it is just the last 4 digits?

I am sure it will be a great vehicle, but from all I have read, it won't have near the towing capacity of the R1S; which is a deal killer for me. I owned an XC90 plugin hybrid for almost 6 years until the battery exploded and burned up the car in April!!! I'd be cautious.

I never got a confirmation email, just an email from the local dealer that I selected. How did you know your place in line? Basing it on the reservation number?

I eventually received an email from Volvo confirming my reservation. That email had what looks like my place in line. Could be random I suppose.

Interesting. Guess I will see. The number from the website when I submitted was over 2 million, so maybe that will be updated.

Also ordered. Also got an initial order number that made me think I was about order # 3 million. Follow up email confirmed order 83XX.

Contacted the dealer to check up on this. I can't be too late, but whatever order I am is fine, not in a huge hurry (I say that now, but we know how that goes....). Just wanted to make sure it actually went through.

Edit: Salesman confirmed it is in the system and I am 75XX. Guess the email is just really slow.
