Delivered! #1 in New England apparently. And it’s awesome.
CONGRATS!

by the way, it was nice to meet you yesterday and only 20 minutes after your delivery. I greatly appreciated you showing me around the R1S and if it weren’t raining would have been great to get a picture with my R1T.
Enjoy!!!

It’s nice to see that there are fresh reservations being booked. You’ll have plenty of time to stop some Rivians and tell them you have a reservation and see if they will take you for a ride.

That forest green is just lovely. I'm going with that color and wheels ... Only difference being I'm getting the normal bright wheels...the more I see the factory finish on the black ones makes me consider just coughing up the extra $1,700 for them versus getting them powder coated or wrapped after the fact.

Factory is usually always a better finish.

Thoughts?

Decisions...decisions...
Seems like us bright 20's folks are in the minority! I'm going FG with bright 20s as well and seeing how I feel about them before deciding whether to powder-coat down the line. There's also the vinyl sticker option to try for very cheap: https://www.brainexplodermerch.com/product-page/rivian-r1t-r1s-20-all-terrain-bright-vinyl-decals

Thanks for sharing! That looks pretty damn easy. I wonder if it's possible to pull this off without taking the wheels off the vehicle.

I think it's doable. In general this looks like it might take a while because of how many sections/stickers the brights have but you could always do the top half of every wheel, then roll the Rivian forward or back to get the other half on top again. Also, my favorite part about vinyl vs. powder coating is the lack of consequences for screwing up :D.

Edit: one thing that might be a challenge if the wheels aren't taken off is the soap water rolling off the vertical surface, leaving less time for proper alignment of the sticker.
