Pedestal for Rivian Wall Charger?

I own a small business and have been planning to install an EV charging station there. Our electrician proposed a Levitron pedestal charger. I'd like to consider installing Rivian chargers instead, but our installation location is not conducive to a wall-mount and will require a pedestal.

Does anyone have experience or advice on an appropriate pedestal to use in conjunction with the Rivian wall mount charger?

Rivian seems to be extremely limited on how many chargers they have. Given that they’re not selling them to preorder holders or the general public you may be waiting several years before you can get your hands on them.

Is this a recent phenomenon? I didn’t have any issues getting one with my pre-ordered vehicle.

That being said, there’s nothing all that special about it and there are a number of other great 3rd party options out there.

I was more trying to point out that they won’t sell/send you one until you’re actively purchasing the vehicle (and thus no longer a "preorder" and now an "order"). The point remains the same, they aren’t just letting anyone buy one.

It’s probably a different story if one contacts Rivian and tells them they want to have “waypoint” chargers…being a business and all.

@crashmtb you may be right about that, but I don’t think that’s what OP was asking about given that their original message reads like they’re looking for a pedestal mount for the consumer EVSE.

Yep, my question was mostly whether anyone was familiar with a good pedestal solution. I received my wall-mount charger for home around the time I took delivery of my R1T, and I know that getting additional chargers may be difficult. Mostly, I want to figure out if a pedestal mount is an option, then I'll talk to my electrician, then I'll look into availablity with Rivian.

Sorry for derailing the convo a bit! I bet you could come up with a more DIY solution for what you’re looking for, but sadly I don’t have any useful info for your original query.

They have to have one since all of the installs I can remember are on a pedestal. Have you asked your guide to research it?

The waypoint ones look like the consumer ones on a fancy pedestal

It could go like so:
”yes hello Rivian I want to have waypoint chargers, for my business“

“ok here you go”

”EMPLOYEES ONLY! GOT YOUR NOSE, RIVIAN”

Yeah, unfortunately (for me) I'd probably like to have something that looks a little nicer if it's available, and don't mind spending a little $$ to get that.

I'm emailing my guide now per @SeaGeo 's suggestion, I'll see what comes out of that.
