Ok
They should for sure give you a loaner. Keep pushing your guide.
No loaner. I've texted him multiple asking if any other SC with in day have any. He just ignores that and says it's very high demand nothing is available. I just dont know what is reasonable and how hard to pitch a fit about it. I've have warranty work done on a cars before and not even got a free rental. But they have not failed within 5 days of use. Any advice on what to push for, please let me know.

And I didn't mention I missed work this past Friday because I was up so late with the tow truck and roadside assistant trying to unlock my car. Just no way I could go to work after staying up past 1 with this mess.

Extremely sorry to hear what happen. I would be devastated (drive for work a lot). Ugh... Again can't say it enough, RIVIAN SHOULD BE ON THIS ASAP AND GET YOU A LOANER TRUCK.

With a catastrophic failure like this I would want to return the car within the 7-Day window.

What was your vehicle Vin#?

I'm at day 3, mile 320 with my R1T. Fingers
crossed.

I think it is fair to ask for an Enterprise rental. While that certainly won’t replace your Rivian, it is pretty comparable to what most dealership *might* give you in a similar situation.

Hope they get you fixed quickly.

wouldn’t that mean you would have to reorder at the new prices and be at the end of the list? I wouldn’t want that.

That was my question too, and my guide confirmed that I would pay my pre March 1st prices as a reservation holder for launch edition

Have you asked to speak to a supervisor? Might be worth sending that Tony guy who is the head of customer relations and explain your situation. Or try contacting someone like insideevs and have them do an article. Media attention tends to speed things up.

I asked who we can escalate this to....he said he would ask his lead, but I never heard anything back from him after that. It was around 4pm on Friday though. And I dont know if I really want to go to the media or who I would even talk to

I didnt confirm a launch edition, I assumed it would be one. But yes my price would not change from the price I paid. My guide said 6wks time frame to get a new car. My next question was what car would I drive in the mean time, he said he would have to find that out.

Interesting. I just took delivery of my R1T about 6 days ago. My electric tonneau cover broke down and stuck in semi close position, the first time I use it right after the delivery team left. I still haven't received a service date.
At any rate, my truck has a 04/2022 built date and the VIN in the high 3700's. When was your truck built (per placard by the driver's B pillar) to have such high VIN # 5800-6000? Thank you.

I never knew to look at that. I will look if I ever get my truck back. It was ready to ship to my SC when my 8 steps started on 5/11

Hey, I started my 8 steps on 5/9, just a few days ahead of you. Did your electric tonneau cover worked ok?

Agree with this - whenever I've had a bad experience with a dealership or with the Tesla service center there is an enterprise rent a car option. They can do that for you. It's not great, but it's something.

Also - I'm sure having a problem right before a holiday weekend isn't helping either. Whoever is working this weekend isn't the person you need. I would contact Customer Service and ask for a Lead as well as talk to the service center. See if either of them can get you some movement.

Mine worked fine. But I tried it maybe twice. I knew of the issues with it and tried not to push my luck on that.

I have my enterprise 2020 Dodge journey with 43000 miles and non working bluetooth as a replacement. It was a long drive home in silence and 53 dollars to fill up....Sounded like the technicians do not work on weekends and I have to wait for the lead technician at my SC and they had stuff in the way on Friday and Tuesday is the next day they work.
