Assigning NFC Key Cards to drivers and saves mirror settings

Hi all - just got my R1T LE, (pre ordered Sept. 2020 - black interior and exterior).

QUESTION ON NFC Card Keys and Profiles.
I added my wife as a driver and she has the second “phone key”. I’m trying to assign my son a certain NFC card.

A - Does anyone have experience doing this (the app has a button I can’t seem to select)

B - Does anyone know for certain if an NFC card can have its own mirror and seat settings?

I can’t really answer your question but I have an issue with my wristband. When speaking with Service, they said that all keys and assignments were handled by Rivian. I was asking if the wristband could work on 2 Rivians.

I recommend a quick call to Service. They are very helpful and friendly.

You can't currently assign keys to anyone. I spoke with service and the agent I talked with said they couldn't do that yet either.

Same discussion with my guide. That’s correct. Currently key card only assigns to driver.

I would suggest creating a profile in the vehicle for your son so he can save his seat and mirror settings, but keep the key under your profile. Just tell the little bastard not to mess with daddy's settings ?

I talked to Service about this and they said reassigning keys to additional driver profiles is a feature slated for a future mobile app release. You will also be able to get additional key cards in the future.

I would like a key that is dedicated to valet. One that would unlock driver door only and lock out all screens and functions. Default drive mode to conserve and limit speed to 25.

I like the idea, but I might not want it to default to conserve because of the ride height. A specialty "valet" mode that's standard height to deal with speed bumps and garage ramps better, speed limited to 25, and everything locked but passenger doors. I would allow doors other than the driver door to be unlocked because some valets open doors for people as they're getting out and handing the keys over.
