I've done this to my Jeep and would never consider doing it to my R1T at this point. 10 years from now? Maybe.

It does look good though, even if it's crazy.

It's bad ass! Those who don't care for it can do whatever they wish to their own rides while resisting the need to trash others. It's one thing to comment that it may not be your taste but to denigrate another Riviot for doing their own thing is unkind.

I’m with you because I’m torn. Can’t say I would do it to an expensive everyday driver personally. The added body armor is great for an off-roader, but that extra weight on an EV would be hard to justify. I wonder if the power lift on the frunk still works…
Probably less than you think. Average bed is about 50-60lbs.

It's a small truck. I would be there is less than 300lbs on that truck in total.

I’m surprised no one has asked what this would do to drag coefficient. This is going to negatively impact range, but I wonder how much.
Maybe it's like a golf ball where the texture actually improves the aerodynamics. Probably not enough to make up for the extra weight though...

Generally, I like it.

I doubt whoever is adding this to their truck cares about the drag or efficiency issues and it's certainly never going to be used off road.

It's a choice.

I actually don't mind the way it looks, however, I would never do it, especially on a new truck. I am not sure the weight would make much of a difference on a 7000 lb truck.

I also wouldn't be surprised if the owner also owns the Raptor lining shop.

No doubt, but it’s a bit strange to buy an electric vehicle, presumably in part to be environmentally forward thinking and then intentionally nerf efficiency for what is arguably a pretty underwhelming look. Is it improving on the original paint, no.

I doubt whoever is adding this to their truck cares about the drag or efficiency issues and it's certainly never going to be used off road.

It's a choice.

I do think it looks really good on the plastics. I could see me doing that.

Agreed. I am definitely thinking about doing all of the plastic trim and think it would look đź‘Ś
