First reported Adventure trim Rivian R1T delivery

There are boatloads of LE orders left in areas that they are already delivering trucks. It was only a matter of time, but this seems to be a bit early.

Not sure when Rivian ended taking Launch Edition orders, but on reddit the poster said he had a max pack order in Nov 2019, and switched to the Large. So he had been on a wait list a pretty long time.

Saw a Rivian employee charging at a station this morning. We chatted briefly and they confirmed that Adventure packages are now being delivered. No word on if that means LE is over or if the two are interleaved

This makes sense. Start delivering adventure editions to early preorders who switched away from Max pack.

Uh, LE is definitely not done. Plenty of us LE holders don't have trucks yet.

I’m just guessing. But maybe Rivian has been updating their internal procurement procedures, and have the specific supplies for customers specific builds the next couple months lined up. And to limit modifying the plans for the next couple months, they are reaching further out on the wait list for units they have already batch built. More likely it’s just random though, location factored in.

Random yes. But someone who reserved in may 2021 in the Bellevue area should be like number 2,000 in this area. Not number 100. I'm super happy for the individuals, but it's just silly on Rivian's part.

Took delivery of my non-LE pickup yesterday as well (in Kansas). They told me I was the 4th one in the area.

For what it’s worth, there is a Reddit user from Wisconsin has had a Rivian Blue Adventure trim delivered:

Even my guide had to do a double take when she called. Email came in Wednesday. Got a call set up for on Thursday and rest of emails Thursday night. Confirmed Friday and finished financing/insurance etc.​

Delivery was not available where I live directly but on a gut feeling I checked a family members address near Chicago. That turned out to be perfect and the deliver took about 15-20 mins​

Initial impression after 150 mile drive home (outside Madison WI) . Quick AF. Planted. Regen braking is amazing.​

Initial notes: the front radars can clog with snow and disable all cruise (both adaptive and driver+) going to request that if adaptive is not available to allow for “normal” cruise to be the fall back.​

Re the cruise control going away entirely: Tesla does the same thing. I honestly think it's a safety based decision. As much as I'd also appreciate a graceful reduction in capability, imagine all the accidents from people that are so used to the vehicle auto-braking.. Until it doesn't.

He's not the only one. There is at least one other member here who is scheduled for delivery next week with Adventure trim.

The only pictures I want to see are the underbody - it says "on road" so he didn't select the smash plate, but I wonder if it had it anyway.

I sure hope he didn't get the skid plate for free, I paid $1700 for it! Lol. I'm happy to get under body photos.

I sure hope he didn't get the skid plate for free, I paid $1700 for it! Lol. I'm happy to get under body photos.

I don't think he did - I saw another guy on reddit who didn't order the skid plate and took an underbody shot and it was clearly different. Just a black plastic/carbon fiber kind of thing with more holes than the metal skid plate.
