I’m July-Sept for an R1S. In the unlikely event that happens, I’ll be doing your route in reverse, from Sullivan’s to NYC, but with a stopover in Chevy Chase. I’m curious how this goes for you. And how accurate ABRP is. Enjoy the trip!

I am not sure when you are leaving DC, but if you know when you are going to be at Monticello, I would love to see it. I have a May/June delivery and I still haven't seen one in person. Congratulations.

I saw Brandon’s ride. It was my first sighting and quite a spiritual experience. My impression is that if Volvo made a tank, this would be it. I had my doubts but I am completely sold.

Rivian Road Trip!

After a fun series of events, my wife and I were presented with an opportunity and opted to fly up from Charleston, SC and take early delivery of our Rivian R1T tomorrow in Washington DC. We will be taking our "Adventure Vehicle" ownership seriously and road tripping back home over the next few days.

We will Try to meet other Rivian reservation holders on the route back home, so if you are close and want to meet at a charger, let me know and I'll keep you posted on our progress!

This will be our longest EV road trip, first without the Super Charger Network, and I think one of the longest undertaken by a Rivian Owner so far.

According to our Rivian Guide we are among the first Rivians "delivered" in the state of SC as well, so this is quite a weekend lol.

aw bummer, if you were going to hit the Wake Forest NC charger at the Walmart it's 2 miles from my house I'd be like please please let me see :)

Enjoy the trip, I really like EV road trips, you get to stop and smell the roses a bit on the charging stop. We've really liked that.

All y’all pile in the back of the Rivian and hit the pick up window at Rodney Scott’s BBQ!

Bet you could fit 2-3 hogs in the bed!
Y'all making me miss home already. Nothing beats the Charleston food scene, and my waist size reflects it lol.

Looks like we might drag the trip out an extra day, but I promise we are coming home!

#1 I got to this thread too damn late and would have loved to have seen your beautiful truck.
#2 I absolutely have to move to SC just to take delivery of the R1T - I am paying nearly 5K in taxes in my neck of the woods!
