Received the below email from Rivian today. I called and was surprised to find that the Atlanta SC had appointments available as soon as Monday., the 16th. I suppose the early availability is due to the short repair time required.

Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2023 R1T vehicles that may have been filled with excess refrigerant.

This notice applies to your vehicle, VIN: ......23XXX

What is the problem?

An overfilled refrigerant system may cause poor air conditioning functionality. In some cases, the HV battery cooling might also be affected, which would cause slower level 3 charging.

What will Rivian do?

Your Rivian Service Center will evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system with the proper amount of refrigerant.

What should you do?

Please call (855) 748-4265 to schedule the campaign service repair. The estimated service time will be approximately less than 1 hour, please plan accordingly.

If you have further questions, please call Rivian Service at (855) 748‑4265.

I just received the same email and ATL is my closest SC. Plan to reach out to CS next week and see if this is something that can be done via mobile as it's a 4hr ride for me to get to ATL. If this can't be done via mobile service then this will have to wait till I need to go to ATL for work and do it on the way.

I tried making an appointment with Atlanta as I'm coming from Charotte and there's nothing available til December. While I know this isn't a critical issue, it feels insane that I have to wait 2 months to get service and it seems to be a reoccurring theme with Rivian. As they get more popular, the service has been degrading. Waiting to see if I can get in with Nashville's service center sooner and make a long weekend out of it.

We are in the same boat with VIN 224xx. We got the email this morning. We are 300 miles from Atlanta. We are also 300 miles from Jacksonville. I h mobile hope that this can be accomplished via Mobile Service. We could meet them in Columbus or Montgomery. That way, we could do this in a single day.

We will call Rivian Service today and report on the results. This is the kind of job that can be done in a parking lot in less than 30 minutes.

Just got an email from Rivian - saying I need to call and get a servive appointment. Anyone else receive this email. I have no issues regarding this issue but wondering if some others have had a problem with the HV batter cooling etc to warrant this recall.

Service representative was great and easy to talk to and he set up a service appointment for December. So I guess it isn't that critical. Here is an insert form the email.

I’m 239xx and no notice (SoCal). Has anyone outside of Atlanta received the notice. I do have just-okay A/C and super weak seat ventilation.

I got it, certainly not regional as I am in Central Oregon with a high 21XXX VIN. I know that last summer several members reported getting their AC units serviced for this problem and I’d wondered if my truck were affected. Higher than 85 degrees outside and the AC struggled to do much.

Hopefully this can be a mobile repair, like others I am 2.5 hours from an SC so this would require a day off from work.
