I can only say this anecdotally, but if I am in slow highway traffic driver+ (R1T G1 ) I get horrible numbers in the efficiency graph (like 1.5 M/Kwh). But if I drive manually I may even gain a % or two and the number goes upwards of 5.

If you turn on your phone hotspot and connect the truck wifi to it you can use all the apps except SiriusXM. I have unlimited so I have been doing that and it works perfectly.

Why would you hover on the brake? As soon as you lift off the accelerator it will slow you down, so the argument 'I'm faster if I hover' seems to be invalid. Normal reaction time, paying attention, and the car slows itself before you can touch the brake instead of coasting at the same speed...

High. I see no reason to make it coast just to feel like an ICE car. However now I am a slow braker in an ICE car because I'm used to basically never hitting the brakes now.

Wow. That's one of the most damaged Rivians I have seen. Glad everyone is ok. If you are parting things out I'd be interested in a rim or two - I have a 2023 and no spare option at purchase....

I have hit some L2 chargers that have say, a 4 hour limit. They stop and you can't use them again until the next day after you hit 4 hours. Even if you do 2+2 they just end at 4. More likely to be the charger than the truck.

As has already been stated plenty of ICE trucks roll off the line over 6k - we have no charging in our garage, but also no first floor parking, so I'm curious to know if they decide to say/do anything with me and the few other trucks and Rivians that are over.

I've found that anything listed on Telsa website as NACS compatible works fine.... (and yes magic docks as well)

Actually I can charge my Kia EV6 on Tesla chargers. I use the Tesla app, it doesn't do pass through like Rivian, but it works fine. Just because Ford and Rivian have 'deals' doesn't mean other CCS vehicles can't use Superchargers, all you need is an adapter (I have A2Z). The EV6 is very hard...

The EV9 is likely built on the 800V EGMP platform, while Rivian is 400v - so you'd get faster charge times in the EV9 at the right chargers...

How is this different than buying a 2023 (insert ICE maker here) and finding out that in 2025 it has a new engine, bigger screen, etc?

I've done the same 1000 mile trip 5 times in my R1T, 3 without RTT and twice with. 2.25-2.35 all 5 times. (even hit the same chargers, 2 per direction) My RTT doesn't change my efficiency. (120lbs, on the bed of the truck so it's entirely behind the cab) If I had it on the roof I'd expect...

I test drove a Lightening and hated it. It felt just like my 2014 Chevy Silverado. The Rivian has a soul, the Ford was just a pile of metal on wheels. (IMHO)

FWIW I haven't noticed anything from my RTT on the bed. I haven't towed yet either.....
